BuzzJack Music Forum _ Television _ Comic Relief: Red Nose Day 2015

Posted by: bipolar angel 12th March 2015, 12:53 PM

well,

i have to say that their's nothing about tomorrow's lineup that jumps out at me at all. nothing. that's not to say it won't be funny, the programme lasts the entire night of friday (not finnishing until early saturday)

but so far my attention is not grabbed at all

Posted by: Apricot 12th March 2015, 02:26 PM

Of course the whole of Buzzjack will be on tenderhooks waiting for the first live performance of "Lay Me Down" with John Legend! biggrin.gif

Here's a full list of what's ahead from the BBC Media Centre:

And that line-up is why I'm glad I'm going out.

Mr Bean revival though cheer.gif

(though I'll probably youtube it, rather than sit through the whole event)

I've always loved Comic Relief but, looking at the schedule, the majority of it doesn't stand out and get me very excited for it.

I won't be able to watch it live anyway so I can skip the rubbish bits.

Posted by: Apricot 12th March 2015, 03:52 PM

I'm only really bothered about the Little Britain sketch, the rest is very yawn this year. Although, I'll probably still watch it as always.

I likewise, will be seeking out the new Vicar of Dibley special on iPlayer/YouTube. This looks to officially be the most boring Red Nose Day in recent years.

So scarce on the music acts this year and out of EVERY act possible, Labrinth? LAB. RINTH. drama.gif

Will be watching this year but the lineup looks dreadful cry.gif
I'll probably stop watching about 11pm as it just turns into repeats and the really boring stuff then. Oh and ear muffs and mute button at the ready for squealy sam ft chart murderer john

After The Bake Off, the line-up is actually ridiculously dire. They're really scraping the barrel this year.

Posted by: Jonjo 13th March 2015, 06:31 PM

Aw man. Nick Jonas posted a photo on Facebook with him sporting a CR T-shirt and asking people to donate. Was hoping that was a hint that'd he'd be performing. sad.gif

Mr Bean heart.gif

Looking forward to the new Little Britain and Vicar of Dibley sketches as well. The rest of this sounds very dull.

Posted by: Mart!n 13th March 2015, 07:28 PM

I need to leave the room when Sam & John start wailing.

Posted by: Ultraviolence1989 13th March 2015, 07:39 PM

The backing music has been better than the actual programme so far- what kind of man and clown heart.gif

My favourite moment last year was Katy B performing crying for no reason- I was in tears after that, it was so beautiful wub.gif

Posted by: ˇbré! 13th March 2015, 07:48 PM

Oh a mildly racist caricature, hilare.

I prefer to think of them as Sobbin' Sam and John Leg End, though I expect coming after a real-life piece it will tug on the heart-strings and be number one on sunday fairly easily. If the money goes to a good cause I promise not to whinge even once if it's still in the chart by the time of the next comic relief.

Posted by: Ultraviolence1989 13th March 2015, 08:28 PM

This vicar of dibley sketch has been amazing, by the far the best part tonight so far wub.gif

Bake off cheer.gif

It's the one bit I've chosen to watch cheer.gif

Posted by: popchartfreak 14th March 2015, 09:23 AM

Stephen Hawking was the bit I was waiting for.

I also downloaded Sam Smith and John Legend, 50p to charity so the more sales the better. One piece they did last night was very close to home for me personally, and a billion pounds raised for good causes over the years is a real achievement.

Posted by: bipolar angel 14th March 2015, 08:38 PM

i didn't watch any of it in the end.

as i stated, i'm not waiting hours for 1 sketch that i want to see

ended up watching bear grills: mission survive, and then checked out that new quiz nights on Sky1 which turned out to be really good. (oh and recorded the new 7 deadly sins thing on discovery!)

but yeah. i did go on youtube today and watch the little britain thing. it was funny
