After the proper UK broadcast tonight (think it airs 9pm?), spoilers can be allowed without the tags

Can't believe this is the first time Jaime has seen Bran since he pushed him from the window ohmy.gif That's insane, just shows how much goes on in this show you forget stuff like that! Excited to have him back with the Starks, that will be quite the scene.

Great opener, I know the situation was dire but it almost felt quite feel-good and poignant seeing them all exactly as they were as we won't see them for much longer, the long overdue reunions and just seeing the characters exactly as they were was lovely and it will get a hell of a lot more gruesome from next week so it's nice to have scenes like the dragon rides and one liners while we can, and gah that zombie kid at the end made me jump!

Also I can really see Euron getting his comeuppance soon. He gets a prisoner stolen from under his nose while he's busy thinking with his other brain, I don't think he's long for this world.

I don't get why Cersei was doing allowing him to just f*** her despite him clearly thinking nothing of her? Unless she was doing it to spite Jaime, either way, he's surely dead soon, and I really hope so, he's just holding things up at this point.

I thought for a set-up episode it moved quite quickly. I was surprised to see the Theon and Yara storyline end so quickly. I guess we know some people will retreat to the Iron Islands when Winterfell inevitably loses. Probably a massive likelihood that at least one of Tyrion/Jamie survives the Battle as well.

I can't quite see where the series goes before it sets up the Battle of Winterfell, but with the exception of Cersi, Euron and Yara is that pretty much every major character in Winterfell now? Does anyone know where Brienne is? I can't remember where we left her!

feels weird but natural that the Starks are back together for the final season when they were last together for the first!

Cersei's weirdly in danger of being a spare part considering basically everyone is now in or around Winterfell but it gives her time to prepare her army and for everyone to also be hit by the White Walkers first. As she is sooo focused on power/throne, I feel the White Walkers are going to become a major part of her storyline soon, whether that they become an advantage of disadvantage to her (or whether her comeuppance leads to her becoming a White Walker!)

Loved the opening titles and it focusing on the throne but my favourite imagery was Lord Umber - what a... fun show when that isn't the first time a child has been torched in this series oop

Cersei and the elephant memes circulating are giving me so much amusement! rotf.gif

With Euron discussing providing an heir I am surprised little was given away as to her pregnancy from last series?

Brienne's absence is probably my only criticism of the episode. It felt odd that she just wasn't there or mentioned?! I don't think we've seen her since the Dragonpits right?

The episode was really good and a great set up for the rest of the season. There's a lot of things being put into motion in regards to decisions that'll need to be made. I was surprised no one died, but I fear that'll be very short lived! I have no idea how things will really play out from here on out and the trailer for episode 2 has me excited.

I have watched Games of Thrones season 8 Episode 1. It was fun to see how Jon Snow met with his whole family at one place. There was family reunion along with some other characters reunion like Tyrion met with his Wife Sansa..

Okay, i'm up to date on episodes - why is it I've only just found out and realised that Bronn, Jerome Flynn, is an older-looking chart-topping 90's pop-star. Yes, it's Jerome of Robson & Jerome. Of course it is. That's why he looked so bloody familiar! That's why the Sand Snakes enjoyed his singing in prison - they were hoping for a quick chorus of You'll Never Walk Alone and the other big covers.... laugh.gif

No accounting for taste among Martell bast*rds then is there, but yes. Not the only singer in the GOT cast either, Grey Worm has had an RnB career under the name Raleigh Ritchie.

I didn't realise that either! He's good too, I bought Bloodsports and Stronger Than Ever, and I'd missed his recent single somehow, so thanks for the heads up Iz, in my itunes basket smile.gif Love his voice.
