This is returning soon (not sure of the date!) for its third season. Initial reviews are out there for the first six episodes which.... aren't that great. It appears that even more misery is incoming and the whole thing is a bit of a slog with no real story.
I'm not sure if I'll continue watching, I found it difficult to get through the second season and there really is so much misery I can get through, particularly as it really is starting to echo real life in America now, it becomes all the more uncomfortable. Also, I'm still not keen that they mentioned it could last for 10 seasons... |

Really not sure what to do about this show. Season 1 is perfect. And ends in the best way possible. Season 2 is good but its very existence lessens the overall brilliance of the show and I feel season 3 may do the same.
Had it been left as a single season this would have been one of the greatest shows ever. Sometimes less is more. |

Which is even more irritating considering the trailer suggests otherwise. |

This is admittedly why I still haven’t finished Season 2 yet as it’s what I was afraid of, I absolutely loved S1 because it was true to the book but added some crucial modern updates to make it more relevant, I feel like S2 whilst still good was starting to show that it’s ideas were limited. I don’t have issues with tv shows based on books forging their own path, but the fact things are going in circles aren’t good signs it can make it without it, certainly not through ten seasons :/

This season has been ropey and frustrating but wow — episode 11 was fantastic.
Any show that uses Cloudbusting as well as that deserves all my attention. |
