It's been almost a year with no Westlife sign.... no idea about future plans, new singles / album.... Seems like that if concerts dont come back soon they might split for the 2nd time..

No reason to think that. Barely anyone is releasing anyrhing these days. If anything, this can only make them more eager to get back to Westlife, there is just no reason why they should split. |

The gap when Everybody Hurts and Safe were released was 9 months. Safe and Lighthouse was 12 months. Us Against the World and What About Now was 20 months (but 10 Years was released in between, 8 months before and 12 months after).
Will they take the risk of releasing new music for a longer time again? They did not have a charity single this time as well (or I am talking too early) at the start of a decade like Everybody Hurts when almost veryone in the industry had one or engaged on something at this time of the start of the year and the decade. They are not obliged to do so though. They become charitable in a different way this time also like the limited shirts and the livestreams. They might have a different plan or something, that's what I am just saying. I forgot there's a rumour Mark will do Strictly or Shane might have solo releases like Ronan's success in the albums This post has been edited by myxxd: 28th July 2020, 08:14 AM |

Kyn is Sonny Takhar's company. He is their co-manager
July is the time of the year when they did business meetings during Simon's time remember? So most likely they will release something before the year ends. Do you guys think it is viable if Shane will release an album this year then the re release of Spectrum and a new Westlife album, all to be released this year lol This post has been edited by myxxd: 29th July 2020, 02:16 PM |

Used to love them but I have seen interviews where they have said they didn't like some of the music they put out and just give the impression that they are back for money. Feel let down

I mean, you have the right to feel what you want but I think its pretty obvious they are happy to be back. If you watch the DVD you can see they are genuinely thrilled to perform again. Of course they also did it for the money, like every boyband out there. But they had many offers over the years that they refused so money clearly wasn't the main trigger.
Them not liking every song is simply realistic, every artist wishes they haven't recorded some songs, that is nothing new. Its better that they are honest than that they lie. However I am not even sure which songs are you talking about - the only song I remember them mentioning is Tunnel of Love and The Rose. Them being disappointed by constant covers Simon shoved down their throats is also understandable and nothing new. They released 3 singles, they would have probably released more if situation was different. The album had all original material and they planned a tour. How is that not wanting to continue Westlife and enjoying it? I really don't know. This post has been edited by zeze88: 6th August 2020, 11:54 PM |

That is exactly my point, they don't need to do chaotic schedule anymore, they have nothing to prove nor do they owe us anything. They were obviously recording something before the pandemic, we saw pics of Nicky and Mark in the studio but everything stopped, both music and movie industry. Plus, even if they start recording now, they could release it by the end of the year/early next year. It is known they recorded both Where We Are and Gravity in between July and October. |

All Spectrum songs have over 1 million streams in Spotify after 13 months of release, and total album streams is now above 100m in Spotify! DVD is still jumping from top 10 to top 20 and vice versa.

Sounds like they're moving on to bigger and better things if they're releasing a new album, going on a world tour and announcing a global partnership.
