Starting like right now and happening throughout the evening. 22 players, very nice turnout. Thank you very much to all.
Some stats: - The highest scoring top answer was 17 - The lowest scoring top answer was 1 - One question had 16 individual answers. Q1 coming up ;o This post has been edited by Chez Wombat: 21st March 2016, 07:03 PM |

01. An animated film released by Studio Ghibli
Spirited Away (17) Chez Wombat Joe jsilv Regina hotchoc26 Mack burbe Ultraviolence1989 princess_lotti richie SamJudd Iz Jahq Jonjo HausofKubrick Virginia's Walls Oliver notfurlong Grave of the Fireflies (0) bipolar angel Howl's Moving Castle (0) Alex! Ice Age (0) Dobbo Ponyo (0) harryflynn0908 So yes, the big landslide to start with, and going by the results, definitely the only question where there was always a clear winner. While Disney and Pixar are lauded everywhere, I feel Studio Ghibli really does deserve more love. Their wonderful animes combine sublime animation, fantasy, human themes and a more dark and daring tone that is often not explored in children's films. The results are often a blissful and beautiful movie experience. Spirited Away, being their highest grossing and largely seen as part of what made anime film cross over was perhaps an obvious choice, it sums up the best Ghibli can do - beautiful, adventurous, entertaining and thought provoking journey that rightfully stands as one of the all time animation greats Alas, some poor hens missed the trick here the other answers given were tear jerker, Grave of the Fireflies, another fantasy epic, Howl's Moving Castle and one of their more recent successes, Ponyo. I do not know if Dobbo was being serious here but HOW DARE YOU put this studio on scale with a film that is fairly good at best and on that note I need to go for dinner oops, this will hopefully resume around 8! |

I hope people didn't go for Sidney from Scream as it's kind of INCORRECT, since Monica survives all the films too.

So much goodness. 'Grave of the Fireflies' is my personal favourite but had to go with arguably one of the greatest animated films OF ALL TIME. An absolute belter of a film <3

Completely forgot about Scream oops Not sure if my answer is right though, that could have been where I slipped up! (I nearly went for.... yeah I'll say later after the question but I'm pretty sure I would have been the only one)!
