The Theory of Everything to be this year's Gravity please! biggrin.gif The only other film that I've seen is Boyhood (oops) but I'd be happy for that to pick up a couple of awards too. I'll try and see more before the ceremonies (BAFTA and Oscar) though!

Kind of shocked to see none of the Into The Woods actors/actresses nominated. No Christoph Waltz either, but Amy Adams being there <3

I hope Rosamund Pike wins best leading actress! Her performance in 'Gone Girl' was amazing.

I'd like Rosamund to win too, strong category though, Reese Witherspoon looks really good if the trailer is any indication (seeing "Wild" next weekend). Amy Adams didn't amaze me in "Big Eyes" tbh, Christoph was the highlight. My other main picks would be Eddie Redmayne for Leading Actor and either Pride or Paddington for British Film.

And this is how I'd rank the Best Film category:

Boyhood
The Imitation Game
The Theory Of Everything
Birdman
The Grand Budapest Hotel

I haven't watched "Birdman", The Imitation Game" and "The Theory of Eveything" yet. So, I'm not sure if "The Grand Budapest Hotel" or "Boyhood" deserves to win.
Outstanding British Film - Under The Skin..Seriously???
Best Film Not In The English Language - Two Days, One Night..Much better than the overrated Ida.
Best Original Music - Hans Zimmer...He totally deserves it. This man is incredible composer!
Best Special Visual Effects...All of them are impressive. However, "Interstellar" is the biggest contender here.
The EE Rising Star Award - Shailene Woodley...There was no reason to nominate 5 people here. However, I'm sure that Jack O'Connell will win this..

I couldn't help but wonder why the majority of the films were released in December..? I'm quite suspicious..Is this the best kind of advertisement of these movies..? Yes of course..

Better than the usual February-March releases for all the major films! Last year's Her (not BAFTA-nominated but nominated for five Oscars) was released in the UK in April! Worse than record label releases!

Films that studios know will do well at the awards tend to release them around that season so they can capitalise on the buzz surrounding them!

Yeah it feels like Her was released ages ago in the US than in the UK! laugh.gif So glad Boyhood got nominated for best film though. Such a stellar cast and a unique concept.
