Confirmed by the man himself

Posted by: Midge 20th April 2018, 06:13 PM

Ready for this to be horrific!

Posted by: ubɹǝɯbƆ 20th April 2018, 06:17 PM

... agreed.

Posted by: TMD_24Quavo 20th April 2018, 06:35 PM

Such a random collab but here for new Marshmello!

Hope it is more of a dance song this time from him and he puts his distinctive eurodancey synths in it, although I did really like 'Friends'.

Amazing news, I can't wait for this one biggrin.gif

Judging by the names, I doubt it

Posted by: BridgeCow 20th April 2018, 06:54 PM

oh dear god... I want to be excited for this but... James Arthur ew

Posted by: _jase 20th April 2018, 06:54 PM

Oh dear.

Posted by: Bré 20th April 2018, 07:17 PM

What an utterly bizarre combination of artists. Any 2 of these on a somg together would be odd, let alone all 3 laugh.gif

That what I was thinking. It does seem like Marshmello has abandoned dance music for the minute.

Posted by: ¡ʎpp∀ 20th April 2018, 07:23 PM

Where do I know Juicy J from?

He was featured on 'Dark Horse' by Katy Perry, also had some minor hits as a solo artist with a lot of rappers featuring, and probably Three 6 Mafia says smth to you.
---
Kinda excited to see how this absolutely random collab will work. In my opinion, it will flop like 95% of new releases esp. dance-oriented ones.

Posted by: ¡ʎpp∀ 20th April 2018, 07:45 PM

oh yeah Dark Horse wub.gif...I actually thought he did an excellent job there lol.

James Arthur's last collaboration with a dance act was a hit and Marshmello's last single was a hit so don't write it off yet

Yeah, I keep that in mind but nobody can guarantee the success of their union, you know.
Also can we call their previous hits, um, 'dance music'? kinda debatable ting.

True but they haven't said this will definitely be in a dance style afaik

Marshmello & Juicy J sounds like it could be promising, I adored Logic’s collab with Marshmello so I hope this is similar. James Arthur is a name I’m less hopefully for, but Rudimental managed to make him more digestible so maybe this will be good

Titled "You Can Cry", it's out this Friday and there is a preview on the link.

Posted by: Bjork 30th April 2018, 07:27 AM

worst idea of a collaboration ever :/

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 30th April 2018, 08:47 AM

Good God, that sounds like pure hell going by the names involved.

Posted by: ubɹǝɯbƆ 30th April 2018, 08:51 AM

I hope it flops

Posted by: Dexton 30th April 2018, 11:20 AM

The snippet sounds a bit chorus-verse so I’m thinking this won’t really be dance sad.gif Marshmello rarely puts anything bad out for me though so I’m looking forward to this still... a bit tongue.gif

Posted by: lewistgreen 3rd May 2018, 12:05 PM

This is nice enough I suppose but doesn't really go anywhere. Juicy J's raps are good but James Arthur is slightly screechy on the chorus.

Posted by: TomboOnBroadway 3rd May 2018, 12:21 PM

Bring it on, I am excited for this! Not long to go now

Posted by: gavindeejay 4th May 2018, 07:37 AM

Poor!

Posted by: Midge 4th May 2018, 09:20 AM

I really don't like this :/

Posted by: mdh 4th May 2018, 09:42 AM

Very poor.

Posted by: lewistgreen 4th May 2018, 09:43 AM

Straight on rotation on MTV Dance today and Adele Roberts played it on Radio 1 this morning!

Posted by: TomboOnBroadway 4th May 2018, 11:53 AM

I quite like it biggrin.gif

Posted by: BridgeCow 4th May 2018, 07:12 PM

Jesus this is awful

Posted by: The Snake 🐍 4th May 2018, 07:17 PM

Is it time to send Marshmello to the R&B/urban forum yet?

Indeed the chorus isn't the best sad.gif The rap is good.

Of course you do

Posted by: SevenSeize 4th May 2018, 08:05 PM

i remember this being v boring aside from the bit where they used the lyrics from Big Fish, so y'all might as well just listen to that

Vince deserves better than this sad.gif

Bizarre song idea this was, and I think too that this spells the end of James Arthur’s new found relevance. Now he can stop making pointless features and go back to making half-decent pop records imstead.
