BuzzJack Music Forum _ Girls Aloud _ What's next for Girls Aloud?

I'm aware this might be a sensitive topic to discuss at this early stage, but I wonder what the remaining girls will decide to do with the group.

Personally, I think that a year from now they will do a Boyzone / TLC, continue as a four piece, ride the nostalgia wave and use the good will from the public to go on tour and probably release a new album.

What do you all think? What should they do?

It almost feels a bit too soon to discuss this, but I think whatever happens will go ahead with Sarah’s blessings.

Pretty much this.

Whatever happens will be when the girls are comfortable and ready, and not a moment sooner. There's not really much else to speculate on at this point.

This indeed. Part of me thinks they will never do something again, as I cannot imagine the girls without Sarah, but it's too soon to really think about this.

Echoing everyone else that it feels too soon to think about this. Whatever they feel comfortable with, really - only they know what would feel right.

I dont feel like we require any more from them musically or performance wise.

They gave enough in their time together.

Another documentary would be nice, sharing memories.

It's a really tough one, especially when it still doesn't feel real. The only thing that is springing to my head immediately is Boyzone. Not on a musical level you understand, but more so because they are now the only other pop group apart from GA in recent memory - certainly in my lifetime - who have lost a member so tragically and publicly.

Stephen Gately died when he was only 33 and they were just at the beginning of a comeback themselves when that happened. And any time they have performed together since there has always been the inescapable feeling that he is missing, especially as, like Sarah, he was the favourite member for a lot of fans.

It is ultimately going to come down to what the remaining four girls think is right or if they even want to do anything together again. What or if that is to happen is too soon to say.

If they do something for a cancer charity that would be lovely. Anything else I find horrid, but its up to the girls of course.

I have a feeling they might push ahead with the 20th anniversary plans they all discussed as a way of honouring Sarah, but it feels really wrong speculating and I imagine anything relating to the future is understandably the furthest thing from their minds right now.

I think they will do the 20th anniversary in honour of Sarah and it's something I think Sarah may have discussed with them. For now though I would like the girls to be part of a one off tv show in tribute to Sarah.
