#4, yeah, that definitely reeks of irrelevance
(Grrr at him pointlessly capitalising the song title though) This post has been edited by Mango: 6th May 2016, 09:14 AM |

On another note, that Justin Timberlake song is really good! Great pop song.

The Skepta album tracks are doing relatively well in the chart actually. 47. Man 57. That's Not Me 61. Ladies Hit Squad 63. Shutdown 80. Konnichiwa 111. Lyrics 120. Corn On the Curb 157. Detox 181. Text Me Back 208. Numbers 209. Crime Riddim 254. It Ain't Safe 520. Shutdown 709. That's Not Me Wow, that's very impressive actually! The Novelist collaboration (Lyrics) is very strong and sounds like it'd go off in a club or festival. I expected more from 'Numbers' as it's a typical Pharrell beat but Skepta doesn't sound too comfortable on it. I like it, and it'll grow, but it's borderline annoying at the same time. |

I'm guessing the irrelevant comment was a joke? As JT is always relevant. What an absolute tune. Love it!

I wonder will any Eurovision tracks make an appearance after the semi's. I believe streaming will really damage the positions of the songs this year as a whole. Even if the winner this year resulted in been as popular as Loreen was a few years ago, streaming will result in a much lower peak position. Unfortunately, this will apply all round and as a result I believe we wont see as many Eurovision songs chart as we have seen in the last few years.

Dua Lipa - Hotter than hell #39 love this one!!!! Has Dua managed iTunes top 40 before? This is off to a very strong start, hopefully it bodes well to become her first UK hit! I agree, Eurovision won't impact the official charts as much this year unfortunately. But I think it may impact iTunes more than usual seeing as iTunes sales are lower so Eurovision songs will probably be able to make it higher up. |

I think Frans has a good chance of going top 20 officially next week, as he has decent streams too and I imagine it'll get one of the biggest iTunes boosts from the competition even if it doesn't win. Not sure about anything else going top 40, possibly the Russian entry if that wins.

Frans getting a play on the chart show would be absolutely incredible, I won't get my hopes up for now but I'd just be delighted with it even charting top 100!
