The results for the first two groups are in!

GROUP A

01. Black Mirror: 16
02. Stranger Things: 11

03. Broadchurch: 8
04. Pretty Little Liars: 4
05. Gilmore Girls: 2
= The Night Manager: 2

GROUP B

01. Doctor Who: 14
02. Coronation Street: 11

03. Ugly Betty: 9
04. Riverdale: 5
05. A Series of Unfortunate Events: 4

That means Black Mirror, Coronation Street, Doctor Who and Stranger Things are all progressing to the next round!!

Interesting that Black Mirror got more votes than Doctor Who! Doctor Who was most voted for in the longlist so it shows that it can all change as we go through the rounds!!!

GROUP C

01. Game of Thrones: 11
02. Gossip Girl: 10

03. Skins: 9
04. Sherlock: 8
05. Twin Peaks: 6
06. Les Revenants/The Returned: 2

GROUP D

01. 13 Reasons Why: 15
02. Doctor Foster: 8

03. Jessica Jones: 7
= Scandal: 7
05. Homeland: 2

In a very close run group, US TV shows Game of Thrones and Gossip Girl manage to sneak ahead of two massively popular British shows Game of Thrones and Gossip Girl! Gossip Girl really suprised me here as it only just snuck in into the group stage, with 4 votes in the longlist vote (aka the lowest amount of votes needed!).

In Group D, Doctor Foster just manages to edge ahead of Jessica Jones and Scandal to qualify alongside big 2017 hut 13 Reasons Why which stormed its way into the next round!

I didn't vote in Group D as I don't watch any of them and my two choices in Group C took the bottom two places. Not a great round for me laugh.gif

GROUP E

01. Torchwood: 15
02. Eastenders: 11

03. How to Get Away With Murder: 10
04. Bates Motel: 7
= Cold Feet: 7
06. The Handmaid's Tale: 6

GROUP F

01. Desperate Housewives: 13
02. The Story of Tracy Beaker: 12

03. Breaking Bad: 11
04. Teen Wolf: 9
05. Emmerdale: 6

In Group E, Torchwood sails through and gets more points than Doctor Who did in it's own round! Could it end up beating it's parent show in future rounds? Eastenders also JUST sneaks through thanks to a last minute vote from UV! This was one of the most surprising results so far for me because I thought Eastenders would easily go through, especially after Corrie managed to get through in its own group. How to Get Away With Murder is a surprise high placer that just managed to lose out!

Heads are going to roll as critic's favourites The Handmaid's Tale and Breaking Bad lose out. The former gets last place in it's group whilst the latter is another that just misses out thanks (again) to UV! kink.gif Desperate Housewives tops the group whilst CBBC favourite The Story of Tracy Beaker also manages to get through. Cult favourite Teen Wolf put up a tough fight but falls short in the end whilst Emmerdale fails to join its fellow soaps in getting through.

GROUP G

01. Waterloo Road: 13
02. Orange is the New Black: 8

03. Lost: 7
= The X Files: 7
05. The Sarah Jane Adventures: 5
06. Orphan Black: 3

GROUP H

01. American Horror Story: 11
02. Happy Valley: 10 (FV: 6)

03. The Walking Dead (FV: 4)
04. Shameless (UK): 5
05. The Fall: 4

Waterloo Road has a solid fanbase that helps to see it through to the next round and it's joined by possibly Netflix's biggest show Orange is the New Black! Mystery drama favourites Lost and The X Files just miss out while other sci-fi faves The Sarah Jane Adventures and Orphan Black fall short.

In Group H, American Horror Story sneaks ahead to top the group but it's horror counterpart The Walking Dead misses out by a whisker! After tieing in the group AND the longlist, an emergency flash vote had to be put in place that saw Happy Valley sneak through into the next round. UK dramas Shameless and The Fall make up the rest of the group.

The Second Round is incoming!!

The results for the first four rounds are in!

ROUND 1

01. Black Mirror: 17
02. Eastenders: 10

ROUND 2

01. Doctor Who: 13
02. Happy Valley: 8

ROUND 3

01. Orange is the New Black: 12
02. Game of Thrones: 10

ROUND 4

01. Stranger Things: 16
02. 13 Reasons Why: 8

The first two rounds see their group winners go through to the quarter finals! Black Mirror continues its surprising wins by thrashing forum favourite Eastenders! That's 13 episodes beating 5,596!! Someone get me the Eastenders boxset so I can catch up, no spoilers plz x. Doctor Who manages to beat Happy Valley too.

The next two rounds saw the opposite in the group second placer's beating the previous round's winners! In the closest battle of the four, female prison drama Orange is the New Black clinches victory causing epic Game of Thrones to fall out! It was always going to produce an upset! In the next round, two Netflix favourites fought it out and Stranger Things managed to sail through into the quarter finals. Perhaps benefiting from the second season only just being released, who knows.

Good! tongue.gif Cannot stand everyone telling me/Facebook that it's the best programme ever. I really couldn't care about that genre at all.

A bit gutting that Happy Valley was paired with Doctor Who - the former is my favourite new drama in years, I just wish they wouldn't um and ah so much as to whether they'll follow it up! I appreciate that Sarah Lancashire is a very busy actor though.

Likewise for 13 Reasons Why, I haven't seen all of the second season of Stranger Things yet but comparing the first season of each, 13 Reasons is my favourite.

01. American Horror Story: 11
02. Coronation Street: 5

Quarter Final results 1&2 as we near the end!

QUARTER FINAL 1

01. Black Mirror: 14
02. Waterloo Road: 4

QUARTER FINAL 2

01. Stranger Things: 11
02. American Horror Story: 7

Black Mirror & Stranger Things were both in Group A and both qualify into the Semi-Final aka the Final 4!! Poor those who were also in their group who clearly never stood a chance! Black Mirror secures more votes than Stranger Things, is that a sign of things to come or just weaker competition? We'll see very soon!

The last two going into the semi final are...

QUARTER FINAL 3

01. Doctor Who: 10
02. Desperate Housewives: 7

QUARTER FINAL 4

01. Torchwood: 10
02. Orange is the New Black: 6

two shows with exactly the same letters in their titles as they both sit in the same world! We have parent series Doctor Who, who narrowly got through after the results ended on a tie, and spin-off Torchwood who manages to beat one of the biggest Netflix shows around!

We have our (sci-fi special) semi-final consisting of Black Mirror, Doctor Who, Stranger Things and Torchwood! Excellent taste (for once!!) Buzzjack but who will win? ohmy.gif
