That is definitely a factor.
I heard someone singing along to this on the radio today, so it was definitely still a little catchy/ popular. The album being awful killed it. |

It performed well here in the UK but it’s chart run would’ve looked a lot better if the 3 tracks rule existed at the time ad Ed’s divide album made the sharp drop it had in either week two or three to look worse than it was but every track that was top ten that week fell around 12 places the week after and Katys held up well in the long run too.
