So, this week's chart is a bit wild. A whopping 21 songs debut, clearing out more than half the songs on last week's chart. This happened with my second chart too back in May, but not to this degree. I think the cause is a combination of my chart being new (meaning I was rotating through songs that hadn't charted but I'd been listening to already, e.g. "Here" and "Can't Feel My Face" which are both already kind of ancient) and also the fact that last week I decided to do catch-up with a lot of music I missed throughout the year for a variety of reasons.

But anyway, Adele's "Hello" keeps at #1 for a second week, holding off Justin Bieber's "Sorry", which moves up 3-2. The highest of the 21 debuts is Snakehips' "All My Friends", which lands straight in at #4. Further down, we see two more debuts courtesy of Post Malone, with "White Iverson", and Jeremih, with "oui".

Below the top 10, three songs jump into the top 20: Alessia Cara's "I'm Yours" (32-13, this week's Climber), Daya's "Hide Away" (28-14), and Justin Bieber's "What Do You Mean?" (27-20, his second top-20). Meanwhile, three songs debut in the top 20. Alessia Cara gets a second top-20 right out the gate with "Here", which debuts at #15 (and also hit #40 in my old charts), while Deerhunter start at #18 with "Carrion" and Sia at #19 with "Alive".

In the bottom half of the chart, R. City's "Locked Away" jumps 38-22, and below that, we have the bulk of this week's debuts. We need not list them one by one, but they're led by Baby K's recent Italian #1 "Roma-Bangkok" (#23) and DJ Snake's "Middle" (#24). Grimes' "Flesh Without Blood", which bubbled under last week, debuts at #26. Finally, this week's Free Faller is Fetty Wap's "679", which collapses 6-36.

Flashback: Beach House – Gila (2008)

Getting into Depression Cherry more I think, and it's reminded me to revisit Beach House's first two albums.
