I adore Friends. It really was that fire in a bottle moment. The six main characters are amazing (although Ross less so), and the supporting cast were so good, Carol and Susan, Janice, the parents. It will always hold a special place in my heart, it was the first "grown up" thing I was really allowed to watch growing up, I think season 3 or 4 was the first one I watched with my parents (well my mum actually).

Weird that this thread should pop up just as I've been marathoning season two this week.
I always used to be torn on my favourite but now I'd say Rachel no contest. Jennifer Aniston is mad talented. And beyond cute in her Clueless skirts. |

Phoebe >> Chandler >> Monica > Rachel > Joey >> Ross
I love them all though. My favourite episodes would probably be: Phoebes Wedding, nearly all of the Fat Monica episodes, Joey's Ichiban lipstick for me and the one where Phoebe throws all the lottery tickets off the roof. However there are just so many good episodes to choose from!! Then we have this iconic moment This post has been edited by Cameron: 25th August 2014, 09:59 PM |

I was 4 when this started and I remember loving it. I feel so old. This + E.R. were what I was glued to as a child growing up! There was never a bad episode and the only character I truly LOATHED with a passion was Emily. Rachel is amazing and probably my second favourite behind Phoebe, but even Monica is fabulous. All three were perfect really. Chandler was my favourite out of the guys, Joey was slightly annoying and I just couldn't even at Ross. I always felt Chandler had way more chemistry with the girls than Joey and Ross, which is probably why I liked him more than the other two. Some Rachel faves:
Phoebe > Rachel > Monica > Chandler >>>> Joey >>>>>>>> Ross |

Chandler will forever be my favourite. His turn in the ATM booth in The One With The Blackout makes it close to being my favourite episode:
Although NOT QUITE up there with the quiz episode: |

I think I've seen every friends episode around 10 times and still not bored of any of the episodes. I love how the older you get the more aware you become of all the innuendos.

i really cant pick a favourite character, they're all brilliant i got into friends in 1998, i've got all the boxsets, i remember searching high and low for season 5, about 10 years ago i think, and the only places i could find it were selling it for £50 you can probably get the whole 10 seasons for that much or less now
I havent watched it for a while but may have a friends marathon in a couple of weeks I used to love coming home from work in time for it to be shown on e4 at 5pm |

I bought the Blu-ray boxset collection last year via Amazon's Black Friday sales! Still haven't started watching it, but I intend to start a Season 1 marathon very soon.
While Friends was originally airing, I seemed to ignore it until Season 9 started, and I decided to give it a go. Really got into it despite having missed so much of the back story. I remember how much of an event the last episode was, it was a talking point for a few days! Amazing finale. I eventually watched all the episodes on DVD. Not sure how I feel about a reunion, whether I'd love it or whether it would spoil how it was. A whole new season might seem a bit forced, and who knows whether it would work well on the big screen. A one off special could work? Not that I see any of this happening, after 10 years they all seem a bit resistant. Even the original writers/producers have expressed disinterest in doing anything else. ~~~~ Not sure if this was previously posted, but Lisa, Courtney & Jennifer appeared in a not particularly funny (imo) skit on Jimmy Kimmel. Great to see them all together anyway, and Lisa Kudrow got a fantastic reaction from the audience! |

Friends was great till the last season or 2, I started working my way through season 8 a couple of years ago and I still havent finished the box set, the earlier seasons were the great ones. Jennifer Aniston has too much of a movie career to need to do a reunion, I'd guess...
