Came across this pleasant-sounding 60's-flavoured 50-year-old gem which I played a few times and it took on a life of it's own, from the morse code subconscious backing, the fab lyrics which have two-meanings (radio-based and relationship-based) and the terrific tune. Total flop everywhere, but a great record sounding fresh to me....

This would be one the biggest for me. Don't remember this one from the time but it is one of the best dance tunes of the 00s for me now.

The difference between those two songs laugh.gif

Almost every song I regularly listen to is an "oldie" these days. This one from '91 totally captured my heart again recently, one I'd dedicate to my partner if she actually existed:

M&S in-store music used to be good for this when I worked there a few years ago, I got into lots of good 80s and 90s MOR which I didn't previously know. Like these three which I still listen to a lot now:

This was #1 in my personal chart for 10 weeks in late 2001/early 2002, absolutely LOVE it. Wished it had made the top five officially, in its second week it was #5 in the midweek chart but dropped back to #7 by the weekend.

And of course M&S were good for this too which I don't remember from the time I don't think, although I probably heard it back then but didn't appreciate it nearly enough.

The TOTP repeats have served to remind me of many great songs that I'd forgotten. However, one song took me completely by surprise. I have no memory of ever hearing this in 1983. I'm sure I would have loved it at the time and almost certainly would have bought it so I can only conclude that I never heard it.

Some Beck songs that I've heard this month like Devil's Haircut and The New Pollution.

Did you know that A$AP Rocky sampled a Kissing The Pink song? It's not the one on the YouTube video BTW.
