The BBC has released it's annual report covering 2018/19. For all the stats fans (how can you not be x), here's some of the key highlights:
- 91% of UK adults use BBC television, radio or online each week
- Audience's general impression of the BBC is 7/10
- 3.6 billion programme requests for iPlayer. Bodyguard, Killing Eve and McMafia topped the list
- The first episode of Bodyguard is the most popular episode on iPlayer ever having 10.8m requests. The series had 42.6m requests.
- Killing Eve had 42.5m requests on iPlayer by December 18. The first episode was the second-best performing iPlayer episode ever with 9.2m requests
- 44.5m watched at least part of the Football World Cup
- BBC News reaches 8/10 adults each week. 60% of adults watch BBC News each week, 38% of adults listen to the news each week, 33m unique UK browsers accessed BBC News Online.
- 75% of users said BBC TV news was effective
Reach of TV Channels:
- BBC One: 66.7%
- BBC Two: 41.3%
- BBC Four: 11.8%
- CBBC 3.4%
- CBeebeies: 6.3%
- BBC News: 8.2%
- BBC Parliament: 0.7%
- BBC Three reaches 8% of 16-34 year olds each week
Reach of Radio Stations:
- BBC Radio 1: 17%
- BBC Radio 1Xtra: 1.9%
- BBC Radio 2: 27.2%
- BBC Radio 3: 3.5%
- BBC Radio 4: 19.3%
- BBC Radio 4 Extra: 3.8%
- BBC Radio 5 Live: 9.2%
- BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra: 1.9%
- BBC Radio 6 Music: 4.4%
- BBC Radio Asian Network: 1.1%

Interesting figures, massive figures for the World Cup! Same for Bodyguard/Killing Eve (as expected).
Very interesting re the news figures too, should still be the main consumption of news for the public.
I haven't included all the financial figures but CBBC is actually by far the most expensive in terms of how cost effective it is. Most platforms cost 1-3p per user but CBBC is 17p! Quite low for BBC Three too, I wonder how it compares to when it was an actual channel.
