For over 20 years now, Craig David has been putting out music in a whole range of different genres, from pop ballads to garage anthems to tropical house music. In the world of dance, he has worked with some highly esteemed names over the years and despite a hiatus during his career has managed to maintain and grow his fan base. He’s no stranger to chart success, and many of his songs have done very well. These are his most noteworthy collaborations since 1999. Re-Rewind (The Crowd Say Bo Selecta) (with Artful Dodger) Woman Trouble (with Artful Dodger & Robbie Craig) Do It On My Own (with Remady) Bits ‘n Pieces (with Dim Chris) Our Love (with Stereo Palma) Addicted (with DJ Assad) When The Bassline Drops (with Big Narstie) Who Am I (with Major Lazer & Katy B) Got It Good (with Kaytranada) Nothing Like This (with Blonde) Ain’t Giving Up (with Sigala) No Holding Back (with Hardwell) Bang Bang (with DJ Fresh & Diplo) Reload (with Chase & Status) You Don’t Know Me (with Pete Tong, Jules Buckley & The Heritage Orchestra) Sober (with Nile Rodgers & Chic) No Drama (with James Hype) We Were Just Kids (with Clean Bandit) Which of his current dance features is your favourite? Which dance producers would you like to see him feature with in the future? So many songs to choose from here you could make a whole CD just with his features alone! It’s never an easy task choosing favourites, some in fact were songs I had not previously discovered but found from his back catalogue and included as they seemed to fit the general dance genre. So here is how I’ve rated them all. 1. Nothing Like This (with Blonde) 2. Addicted (with DJ Assad) 3. No Drama (with James Hype) 4. Ain’t Giving Up (with Sigala) 5. When The Bassline Drops (with Big Narstie) 6. Woman Trouble (with Artful Dodger & Robbie Craig) 7. Re-Rewind (The Crowd Say Bo Selecta) (with Artful Dodger) 8. You Don’t Know Me (with Pete Tong, Jules Buckley & The Heritage Orchestra) 9. Our Love (with Stereo Palma) 10. Do It On My Own (with Remady) 11. Reload (with Chase & Status) 12. No Holding Back (with Hardwell) 13. Sober (with Nile Rodgers & Chic) 14. Bang Bang (with DJ Fresh & Diplo) 15. Bits ‘n Pieces (with Dim Chris) 16. Got It Good (with Kaytranada) 17. We Were Just Kids (with Clean Bandit) 18. Who Am I (with Major Lazer & Katy B) Who ought to work with Craig next is a tough one to call. His voice suits so many style of music, and he is a household name that many producers would like to work with. Seeing as he hasn’t had an official single yet with Calvin Harris (except a bootleg), I would say that was a good shout, and perhaps one other option could be Sigma. In addition to the songs included in the opening thread, here are a 5 other songs Craig David has featured on which weren’t released as official songs. These songs aren’t generally available on streaming platforms, but I would recommend giving them a listen too;
What Ya Gonna Do (with Artful Dodger) Fly Away (with In The Screen vs. Rony Seikaly) Get Drunk Up (with Erick Morillo) Good Time (with Calvin Harris) Disco Ball (with Kaya) |

Re-Rewind... is a classic followed by ‘Woman Trouble’ which is just as good.
More recently my favourite track he’s provided vocals for would be the Blonde one. |

Voted for Woman Trouble, I prefer it to Re-rewind, love the funky instrumental and great vocals from both Craigs.

I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised to see his breakthrough hit taking centre stage in this poll. It may still be his only feature people most associate with him in his garage days. It is still his highest peaking dance feature to date, peaking at #2.
Keep the votes and comments coming. |
