Unlike the Number 2 Survivor, you guys have decided to oust the XF coronation single the first chance you get! 'The Climb', originally a song by Miley Cyrus, was chosen as The X Factor winning single for the 2009 series which saw Geordie sweetheart Joe McElderry become champion. If he had won any other year, he probably would have bagged that Christmas Number One with ease; after all Shayne, Leona, Leon and Alexandra had done just that the previous 4 years. Because interest and ratings were at an all-time high by 2009, non-XF fans were becoming aware of the monopoly the show had over the charts during the Christmas period. A Facebook campaign was set up and 'Killing In The Name' by Rage Against the Machine (the appropriately chosen song) ended up pipping poor Joe to the post when the campaign track shifted 502,000 to land at number one - 50,000 more than 'The Climb'. Joe did manage to climb to number one the following week but its fair to say he became the poster boy for XF and the enemy of "real music" fans around that time. Vote for your least favourite. 10. Joe McElderry - The Climb [38.24%] 13 out of 34 votes |

I'm going to go for Sandi. Was OK to begin with but got annoying quick. It's not a bad song though. Also 'What If I'm Right' is superior to this one too. Dj otzi is really annoying too but good fun at discos etc |

Not a great selection of songs. I'm going for Nickelback but it's close between them and Usher as the worst for me

Yeah! has always been my least favourite Usher song, but the Nickelback one is even worse so Rockstar for me.

Glad that's out first, what a moment that was it losing to RATM.
Has to be Rule The World to go know, what a complete bore of a song. Saddened I'm the only voter for it. |

Someone needs to break the tie.
If it isn't broken soon I may just eliminate them both. |
