OK, composers, the concert hall is open! Please take your seats and prepare for the main show starting very soon cheer.gif

We have a winner and wow this one was a close call. So speculate: Who sent what? Who has won? Who has finished last with 5 points? Will I come across convincing in my knowledge of classical music and composers at all? I think we know the answer to one of those, but speculate on!

Starting momentarily~

OK composers and guest composers, the results have been counted and verified and we are ready to begin our final concert for you all tonight. Each composer will come up to the stage, reveal their fellow mentor in picking their composition and reveal which other tracks they are supporting. This order has been pre-determined.

A reminder of your participants this evening:

01; Johann Sebastian Bach / A.R.D.I. - Army of Angels
02; Gustav Mahler / Edgar Hopp - A True Hero

Frederic Chopin / Ivan Torrent ft. Irene Rodríguez - Skyborn

Frederic Chopin was one of the most renowned pianists of Romantic era, best known for his solo pieces for Piano and piano concerti, he was ranked as one of the greatest poets of tone and his vast imagination ands craftsmanship in his works, particularly that of Nocturne Op.9 No.2. Now along with new mentor NocheLuna, he seems to have ditched piano for cinematic strings.

Hello!
Here are my votes:

01p | Safri Duo - Samb-Adagio
02p | Mike Foyle vs Signalrunners - Love Theme Dusk (Mike's Broken Record Mix)
03p | Edgar Hopp - A True Hero
04p | Lucine Fyelon - Showtime
05p | Keeno - Cosmic Creeper
06p | Etherwood - Hold Your Breath
07p | Party Pupils, MAX ft. Alna - Lonelier

08p | Archaellum - Reflections

10p | Jacoo - The Moments We Shared…I Miss Them

12p | Nils Frahm - Says

Buena suerte happy.gif

12; Robert Schumann / Nils Frahm - Says
10; Joseph Haydn / Jacoo - The Moments We Shared…I Miss Them
08; John Williams / Archaellum - Reflections
07; Richard Strauss / Party Pupils, MAX ft. Alna - Lonelier

03; Gustav Mahler / Edgar Hopp - A True Hero
02; Franz Schubert / Mike Foyle vs Signalrunners - Love Theme Dusk (Mike's Broken Record Mix)

So our early bird voter and first leader of the night is Robert Schumann with Nils Frahm, not much to tell from these early votes, but how similar will they be come by the end of the night and how will NocheLuna's own entry do? thinking.gif

Next to perform is one of the songs on the board now...Richard Wagner

Richard Wagner / Safri Duo - Samb-Adagio

Richard Wagner was a highly influential dramatic composer with huge scaled operas and music such as the Flying Dutchman, Tannhauser and The Ring of the Nibelung. Best example being the soaring, dramatic Ride of the Valkyries which you may remember from Apocalypse Now, he was pretty problematic if you look into his views but let's just focus on the music x Thanks to the advice of awardinary, He now seems to have taken a new tact - drums and trance to create something almost as epic.

Hey Chez, thanks for hosting this contest, and choosing this theme that I struggled to match to, although, I’m sort of glad my entry was different! tongue.gif

Here’s my votes:

+12 Mike Foyle vs Signalrunners – Love Theme Dusk (Mike's Broken Record Mix)
+10 Nils Frahm – Says
+8 Klingande – Punga
+7 Christopher von Deylen – Infinity
+6 Matt Bukovski & Geert Huinink – Fields of Forever
+5 Sergey Nevone & Simon O'Shine – Apprehension (Aly & Fila Mix)
+4 A.R.D.I. – Army of Angels
+3 Lucine Fyelon – Showtime
+2 Dam Swindle – Coffee in the Morning
+1 Keeno – Cosmic Creeper

22; Robert Schumann / Nils Frahm - Says

10; Joseph Haydn / Jacoo - The Moments We Shared…I Miss Them
08; John Williams / Archaellum - Reflections
08; Claude Debussy / Klingande - Punga

03; Gustav Mahler / Edgar Hopp - A True Hero
02; Giuseppe Verdi / Dam Swindle - Coffee in the Morning
01; Richard Wagner / Safri Duo - Samb-Adagio (awardinary)

It's another pretty good start for Schumann as another top 2 score solidifies their lead further, Mike Foyle manages to climb higher with a 12 and a handful of songs enter the scoreboard leaving six songs still to arrive.

Next to perform and unmask...Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Noche providing our bootleg Two Steps From Hell in this contest then! (a little surprised no one tried to actually send them tbh laugh.gif)

Spoilers for my votes (I think they'll be up quite early anyway) but that was one of the few that just missed out for me but would have liked to slot in, could see it doing fairly well anyway though.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart / Lucine Fyelon - Showtime

The jack of all trades in classical music, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is widely recognised as one of the greatest composers of all time from the high flying Viennese classical school and wrote and composed in almost all genres of his day from Eine Kleine Nachtmusik to Requiem Lacrimosa. His taste, his command of form, and his range of expression have made him seem the most universal of all composers; yet, it may also be said that his music was written to accommodate the specific tastes of particular audiences. In suitably eclectic form, he has taken to his entrant playing a violin frantically on a beach, thanks to advice from Lindsey Stirling, oh I mean, Jade x

Well, this is certainly as good a start as you can ask for as Schumann's lead is now fifteen points, a sign of things to come or just a very good start? ohmy.gif Only Mike Foyle is somewhat close behind, Jade's entry herself has gotten off to a decent start and NocheLuna enters the scoreboard in style.

Next to perform...Johanne Braums

Johanne Brahms / Etherwood - Hold Your Breath

A quite hefty back catalogue, Johannes Braums wrote symphonies, concerti, chamber music, piano works, choral compositions, and more than 200 songs in the Romantic period. He was a master of the symphonic and sonata style and along with Beethoven, Mozart and Haydn, was a crucial part of the norms of classical music being questioned. You may know him best for his Hungarian Dance suite. He has taken his pianist skills and combined it with modern day drum'n'bass for this unusually subtle piece recommended by lewistgreen.

We finally see some semblance of competition now as Nils Frahm gets nothing, it does allow some of the other piano tracks from Keeno and Christoper von Deylen to catch up, lewis himself hasn't got the best start but maybe the fans are still to come? xo

Second time I've sent Etherwood to a Buzzjack contest, the first time being in my third ever BJSC in 2015. Was glad I could show Hold Your Breath to you all in some manner as I had pegged it for the D&B contest a few years back but decided against it.

Ludwig Van Beethoven / Christopher von Deylen - Infinity

Someone that probably needs no introduction, Beethoven was one of the key figures in the transition from Classical to Romantic period. He widened the scope of many musical forms, innovated with merging of classical and vocals in his Ninth Symphony, and his music was unique in conveying the vast emotions of the human spirit conveyed solely through music. His deafness did not stop him composing some of his most important works, and though he still maintains that, he has taken to the piano for this atmospheric, pretty piece advised by Addy!, will he still be at these heights today? ;o

That lead is getting ever smaller, a 12 to the contending 'Schu' puts it just five points behind though Nils Frahm still gets something to stay there, Jacoo is not miles away either. Addy himself has gotten off to a great start, but will it last? Jeff Van Dyck enters the scoreboard, the path to victory it deserves? cheeseblock.png
