Honestly, it's time.
What is the thing that makes you the most proud of being a Spice fan? Mine is their live legacy. The cultural relevance of the Spice Girls being an iconic live act that consistently sold out their tours and always making a spectacle of it. Pretty iconic, if you ask me. Not many girlbands in history would continue to grow as a live touring act in the way they have. They consistely upgraded. For them to do Wembley on their very first tour and sell out those two nights was incredible in itself. That they only grew and 21 years later did three nights there which sold out in one morning, closing a 13 date 100% sold out Stadium tour in the UK and Ireland only is pretty phenomenal and for me, just ilustrates how amazing they are. In 2019 the shows were so special because it felt like a true representation of them reaching iconic status, finally. And they did amazingly well. We all know that it panned out after the tour but it really did ignite a fire on everyone and specially the generations of Spice fans who grew up with them the world over. Every now and then I watch a show from one of the tours on youtube, sometimes just a couple of songs but I think I've watched the entirety of each tour quite a few times, lol What's yours? |

This is such a lovely post! Loved reading yours.
I think I'm most proud of the mania they created I had never seen anything like it and never have since. The only thing it can really compare to is Beatle Mania and Spice Mania was definitely a thing. I was talking to someone at work last week who was saying about One Direction having been on everything and me and my other co-worker were saying "oh that's nothing compared to Spice Girls in the 90's" and then we were talking about all the different things that had them on it and how you couldn't get through a day without seeing, hearing, reading something about the girls. For a short while they really were the 5 most well known women on the planet! In the short term it was actually a disadvantage as the second they let up they were seen as over however in the long term it has really made their legacy uncomparable. The other thing would be Spice being the biggest selling album by a girl group ever, and that is not going to be outdone now unless there is a huge turnaround in record sales! Finally The Olympics was SUCH a moment, to have a girlband who had been inactive for nearly 5 years and who only had a brief go at it in the 90's steal the entire show was really quite something! |

I think simply I'd say I'm most proud of the music. Spice Girls were responsible for getting me interested in listening to music as a young child, and I honestly think they made some of the best pop songs in music history. I was obsessed with the songs at the age of 8, and at 33 they still fill me with joy. Hopefully I'll still be bopping to them at 80! Everything else mentioned so far I'm incredibly proud of as well! |

It’s really difficult to pick just one. I have many for different reasons but I’m so proud of their international success as a British act and as a girl group. They were so incredibly successful across the globe and no one has done it quite like them since. Also I’m really proud of their 3 Christmas No.1s - I know they achieved so much but I’ve always been proud of this achievement.

Oh gosh the three Christmas #1s I also agree with this but then it is slightly clouded by the fact they couldn't be arsed releasing one for 1999, that always bugs me, I mean if they had released an original Spice Girls catchy Christmas song I reckon they would have been a shoe in for #1 which would not only have made them the only act ever to have 4 consecutive xmas #1s but also blocked Westlife's I have a dream from achieving it which would mean they would also still hold the record for most consecutive #1s as they would have cut Westlife off at 3! (it's all what ifs to be fair ) |

I had a think and feel so proud of them managijg to sign with Simon Fuller and Virgin Records in 1995.
To walk away from the Herbert's must've taken so much guts especially as they had no idea if they'd get a deal elsewhere and were rejected by so many labels including Simon Cowell. That was real girl power, they didn't want to be controlled musically and image-wise. |

The fact that they wrote / co wrote their songs.
The fact they were original and all different and that they did not release any covers. The quality of their songs. |
