Following on from last night when Wayne Rooney become England's all-time top scorer.

I'm conducting a poll on who you think is England's greatest-ever attacker.

Who do you think is and why?

I dunno....something about Wayne Rooney just chaps my sack.....perhaps wrongly, I get the impression he can be self-absorbed and self-centered at times....if Bobby Charlton didn't have the lofty tally he did for England, Wayne Rooney perhaps wouldn't be top scorer today for the All England squad....thus my vote for Bobby Charlton.....if I've erred in my readings anywhere, please feel free to correct me...

Went for Lineker. Charlton also scored important goals in tournaments, but that Golden Boot sways me.

Gary Lineker for me for scoring goals when it really mattered.

...and if stats don't lie then Jimmy Greaves would easily beat Wayne Rooney.
