That's so disturbing. Britney's response is incredibly classy considering that that is a horrible thing for her to have experienced. Can she please catch a break? She deserves a public apology.

K Fers wife started following Victor and liking his pics… oh that family is next level VILE! That is so vile and crass. Considering that ungrateful piece of turd is living off Britney's wealth, you think she would be a little more classy. Britney really leading by example here, good for her. |

Oh look who was right: She did in fact "tap" him and not "grab" him like he said. |

Disgusting, I hope she takes it further and has him prosecuted.

I mean I'm probably in the minority here but it seems to have been blown out of proportion just a bit.

It does look like the security guard was just moving her hand away (altho with some force???) but Britney was mobbed a thousand times more and I dont think her security were ever THAT aggressive/forceful with it?? Idk tho.
Edit: I guess it just depends what injury she kinda sustained and I think her statement was only her wanting an apology, but instead his team ended up lying about her grabbing him etc.. |

"That's America for you. F*ck you all." - Britney Spears
That video clearly shows the security guard use a back hand which struck her across the face (maybe not his intention, but it's what happened), and it also shows that she did approach the player to tap him (not grab him, as was alleged). However it does show that she wasn't knocked to the ground. Although Britney didn't say that, she said "nearly" (I can imagine the force of the sudden hit probably made her feel that way). I shouldn't bother reading Twitter but the number of people that are essentially saying Britney had it coming and deserved it, and even escalating it into a "black man vs. white woman with white privilege" issue? Oh please. People also defending the player in the sense of "why should be be expected to know who Britney Spears is" but even if he doesn't - that's not even the point?! An ordinary person approaching him wouldn't deserve a smack simply for doing that. That's an abuse of power. The security could quite easily turn around and ask what they want, say they're too busy to stop, or whatever. |

^ 100% that! It's not about "he hit Britney Spears" it's that he thinks it is ok to backhand someone, with considerable force, in the face. He very clearly whacks her and not lightly. The only reason it's achieved such traction is because it is her but it being her doesn't make it any more or less wrong for him to have done, nobody deserves that, regardless or age, gender, race, sexuality, fame, obscurity...

To be fair, I don't think it's a smart idea to approach a celebrity from behind and I don't actually think the security *meant* to hit her. To me it looks more like an unfortunate accident, and yeah, the security could've been less forceful with removing the hand (leading to Britney being hit). The reactions are a tad OTT though; if this had been a random person you know more people would've pointed out that you don't approach celebrities like that.

The fact they lied and claimed she grabbed him shows they know they were in the wrong. Also I don’t care who it is, if you hit someone in the face either on purpose or by accident you apologise. |

So actually, it turns out she wasn't assaulted and she ended up hitting herself in the face...

? The video shows the guy backhand her? It shows him pushing her hand away - which in turns pushes her own hand onto her face. That's what the police have concluded anyway. I think the whole thing was blown out of proportion personally. Regardless of how she approached him - she did so from behind, I can only imagine her own security team have done the same thing countless times before. In fact, the reports now say that both his and her security teams were interviewed by the police and both agreed what happened was standard practice - to push someones hand away. |

Victim blaming at its finest. So, if I approach Britney from behind, tap her on her shoulder and her security smacks my hand away in a way that makes me hit myself in the face, no one is allowed to point out that it's not a good idea to approach celebrities like that? |
