Great opening game for Leeds and Liverpool! Leeds were really good and took advantage of an out of sync Liverpool backline. The only problem is, like Norwich early last season, that performance will gain a lot of attraction and expectation from the media/pundits. They were absolutely gassed by 75 minutes. If you score 3 goals away at Anfield, you've got to be winning the game!
Just can't wait for some crowds to be allowed back in.. all those montages with crowds at the games just makes you feel sad that we can't experience this. |

Could be again another long season for Fulham with their leaky defence.

West Ham were terrible tonight. Could easily be in a situation with 0 points from their opening 1/4 of games. |

Another start to the season and another defeat why can't Saints start a season strongly?

Not happy with Liverpool’s defence don’t think we will win the league if we continue to play like that at the back.
I would start Matip ahead of Gomez, Gomez is a good athlete but Matip is a better defender for me and is more of a threat from set pieces. |

Klopp didn't seem too worried about it. The players are out of sync in defence and we haven't had our first choice back 4 available all pre-season. We played exactly the same against Norwich last season too, only we gave away better chances and Norwich could not score. We certainly need a 4th choice CB or Thiago though, otherwise we are very, very light for defensive cover. |

I feel the same as well regarding crowds in the stadiums but a lot of people are still not taking Corona seriously even after all these months so it could be months at least until that happens. I only saw highlights of today's games but Leeds should count themselves unlucky that they lost after equalising 3 times and conceding 2 penalties. It probably sounds harsh but Fulham look doomed already and they haven't really added properly to their Championship squad from last season, I wouldn't be surprised if they have a lower points total than Norwich's from last season. Scott Parker saying on the first day that they're going to lose more than they win can't be good for player confidence and morale either. |

I think Fulham know where they are with these players and strange as it may sound can afford to be relegated a bit like Burnley!

Leaving their top scorer and biggest goal threat on the bench made a lot of sense didn't it. Long season for Fulham methinks.
Haven't seen any of the game but that looked a belter between Pool & Leeds. Agreed on the lack of fans but from what I imagine when they are allowed back in to stadiums they'll be at reduced capacity and won't even be able to sing/chant/shout so will be f*** all atmosphere anyway. It'll be a league full of Etihads. |

Haha true!
What’s the crack with not being allowed to sing? |

Haha true! What’s the crack with not being allowed to sing? Singing tends to lead to a lot of saliva being spat out. The louder the singing / chanting, the more saliva will be expelled. That's why restaurants are not allowed to play loud music as it would lead to people speaking more loudly. |

Not the best start for West Brom there against Leicester City who win their first opening match since 2015.

Great performance from Everton and a deserved win. As for Spurs...

The Chelsea Brighton game was excellent last night - Reece James scores an absolute screamer and Kepa put more pressure on himself with another howler.
Strange game though as Brighton played some excellent football but couldn’t finish all the possession they had with a goal. |

Strange game though as Brighton played some excellent football but couldn’t finish all the possession they had with a goal. Brighton caused Chelsea all sorts of problems. Lamperty carried on his fine form. I thought they were really unlucky actually, Chelsea's extra quality just shined through, which is what tends to happen when you face the bigger teams. Had to laugh at Lampard's comments after the game.. surely they HAVE to title challenge. You don't spend £200m to finish 4th again. Anyway, the defence still looks pretty dodgy under Kepa. Werner is nailed on to score against Liverpool next week, |
