That's a decent top 10 from 20 years ago. It makes me feel old though seeing that chart. I can remember it like it was yesterday. Back then I had to go to the library to access the internet so every Friday after work I would go to the library and go on the internet for a couple of hours. I used to save the printable chart page on Dotmusic and I have this chart saved on a floppy disk (remember them?).

The sales for Helping Haiti are massive. I don't think we'll ever see sales like that again as it seems to be difficult to have enough people streaming to even get just 100k and downloads are all but dead.

really? I only really like the REM and Gabrielle songs from that top 10 from 2000, the Oasis song at #1 was beyond bad and didn't deserve #1 :/ and the SASH and Eiffel69 songs were also beyond bad

funny that in the top 5 from 15 years ago there are 2 songs with "soldier" on it

3- LIKE TOY SOLDIERS- Eminem (22,205)
4- SOLDIER- Destiny’s Child Ft TI & Lil Wayne (17,314)

One year since Ariana achieved her 5th #1 (including 'Bang Bang') *.* 10 years since Glee charted in the top 10 with 'Halo/Walking On Sunshine' also! Time has really flown, I was always so excited to watch those season 1 episodes on E4 after school.

Adelante is the best song in that top 10! Closely followed by A Little Bit Of Luck.
That Oasis song is nothing special though, it clearly was only a #1 because of how much clout they had.

afternoon folks!

What a great top 10 that was in 2005 - U2, Eminem, Destinys Child, Ashanti & The Chemical Brothers are all excellent. Always remember being hugely relieved when Eminem & U2 prevented more 1 week wonders from Elvis!

Over 180k sales even in 2000 wasn't to be sniffed at though!

the sales were certainly impressive but time hasn't been too kind to that song, it's not one of their most remembered now.

Just look at its chart run after that though, it only spent four weeks in the top 40 which was very short even for then!
