So, over and above the scheduling changes that see Glee move forwards in the to 8/7c timeslot cheer.gif This is our little S2 spoiler thread.

We are in for new cast members including a BF for Kurt. Apparently they are set to become a proper powah couple an everything. Good old Brit is promoted to a Series regular and we have 3 demotions in the form of Tina, Emma and Terri.

And thats what you missed last time on GLEE

Posted by: RyanJL May 17 2010, 01:14 PM

New time should be good for the show.

Also seeing via Twitter; "#Glee to air after Super Bowl!"

After the Superbowl?

AMAZING

that'd be such an awesome lead in!

New time means it could be affected by the Baseball World Series like Bones is

I know ohmy.gif I'm excited to see the ratings for this already drama.gif

According to Ausiello it's going to be "a special ep".

How many viewers does the SuperBowl pull in? Isn't it like 60million viewers or something!? laugh.gif When is the SB anyway? Will it be on during the new series of Glee, or would they have to make an episode for example, just so it airs after? (Get what I mean? laugh.gif)

Oh and I'm pinning this until Season 2 starts smile.gif

It's the highest rated show on USTV each year. It pulls in millions, there is no better lead in anywhere.

I'll be on during the new season of Glee, and it means we aren't in for a massive hiatus this time cheer.gif iirc it airs early in the year around feb time or late in the year around oct time. Can't remember exactly drama.gif

I think season 2 is coming around September-ish... I could be wrong though. I hope we have it soon after the US again, and don't have to wait sad.gif But imagine the uproar in iTunes of both X-Factor AND Glee making the charts? haha

Fox's midseason schedule is a bit more diverse and contains most of those pilot pickups you've been hearing about. And it includes a new spring time slot for good ol' Glee, the show that thrives in any television climate.

Wednesday 9-10 p.m.: Glee

Awww f***.

Fox playing about with timeslots is never ever a good sign.

EDIT: It seems they are moving it coz of idol, which provides it's spring lead. Which is a good thing as it currently has an AI lead in

Posted by: RyanJL May 17 2010, 03:59 PM

I know. Not impressed with that at all.

The Tuesday at 8 and Super Bowl news had to be balanced out lol drama.gif

Posted by: Silas Fabray May 17 2010, 04:06 PM

It was always going to be dicked about by AI. I'm just glad that Bones hasn't moved and is staying in the same timeslot for the entire season. Shows Fox has some faith in us, and Bones should be back for Season 7. Plus Bones has been here there and everywhere.

Glee might settle down into a consistent slot in it's 3rd or 4th season drama.gif This is Fox afterall.

Special Episode of GLEE to Air Following SUPER BOWL XLV

Sunday, February 6, 2011

Season 2 will begin in mid-September if it's on FOX's Fall Schedule and I guess they muck it about with American Idol due to the musical connection.

I also read FOX are considering 25 episodes for the second season so I guess they'll divide it in half again?

Posted by: Silas Fabray May 17 2010, 05:06 PM

AI has also had it's airtime slashed right back this season as well

It’s official: The music of Madonna will be coming back to “Glee.”
Series head honcho Ryan Murphy confirmed the rumors on Monday at the Peabody Awards in New York City. “We are, we’re doing a sequel to the Madonna (episode),” he told Access Hollywood.
Earlier this season, “Glee” broke tradition and devoted an entire episode to only Madonna songs, but the date when Madonna will reign supreme for a second time, musically anyway, on the show is the only thing that has to be nailed down.
When asked if it will occur next season, Murphy said, “Probably. Yeah.”
Madonna is a fan of the show, after having watched it with her teenage daughter, Lourdes, and the rumors continue to run rampant that she will make a cameo on the hit FOX program. “I can’t say,” Murphy told Access about Madonna’s rumored role. “But she’s sort of the muse of our show, I think now.” She loves the show and has supported it. She gets the show is about arts education and so she’s very supportive about that.”

Taken from Tyler, in the Britney forum...

QUOTE
'Glee' creator Ryan Murphy: 'We're talking to Britney'

There's a lot happening the world of Glee right now. Not only has the four-city live tour just kicked off, and not only did Fox announce that Glee will be back in the fall on Tuesdays, but the show got a Peabody Award today at a presentation luncheon in New York City.

And, creator Ryan Murphy told USA TODAY's Andrea Mandell at the lunch, "This week we have the Joss Whedon/Neil Patrick Harris extravaganza. We do a really big Aerosmith number that those two boys knock out of the park. After that we have the Lady Gaga episode that comes after the finale of American Idol."

When asked if a Britney Spears episode is going to happen, Murphy said, "We love Britney, we're talking to Britney. I think you have to be very careful on the show not to do too many tribute episodes. but she certainly has a huge body of work to pull from and the kids grew up with her so that is a consideration, they love her. "

Murphy also said that a truce of sorts has been reached with Newsweek author Ramin Sedooteh. Murphy had called for a boycott of the magazine after Sedooteh wrote an article Murphy felt was "homophobic." Then Murphy invited him to come visit the set to discuss the piece and observe the creative process.

"The meeting is probably going to come sometime in July when we're back in production so we can sit and meet the cast and have a lot of other people in Hollywood come and talk to him about opposing points of view," Murphy said. "It will all be nice. It's not going to be cross."

Posted by: GrAmii May 18 2010, 09:30 PM

I wonder if the UK will continue airing Season 2 one week after it does in America or if they'll hold back until the start of 2011? I should think the former, considering the huge demand for the show now...

It sucks for Tina but she's hardly had any airtime all year anyway so hardly surprising. Emma is a shame too! They could do so much mroe with that character. Terri is understandable considering she's pretty much useless now her marriage is over.

And I'm sorry and don't wish to offend anybody - but I REALLY do not want a Britney episode blush.gif

Posted by: Poisoned Kisses May 18 2010, 10:41 PM

Terri?

A while ago I posted that Tina, Puck and Emma would be demoted after reading it on another forum. It's been denied by the bosses though apparently.

We do have alot of casting for S2 though. They've got a male version of Mercedes joining, a rival for Rachel and a boyfriend for Kurt (I think these are the 3 new characters for S2).

We also have the promotions of Brittany and Santana to look forward to.

Emma's also got a love interest coming up in the shape of her dentist. I'm not sure if this is for Season 2 or the end of the current season though.

And S2 will also see a love interest for Terri.

Oh, and Idina Menzel and Jonathon Groff have both hinted they will be back for S2

Posted by: Jonjo Gleek May 19 2010, 12:09 AM

Idina is probably so they can work on the mother/daughter storyline I hope.

I'm wondering which one of the new characters will be the winner of their auditions, that they're doing through myspace. I hope Sam Tsui, who has auditioned, gets a part.

'Glee' Exclusive: Season 2 preview!

It’s going to be hard for Gleeks to face the long, hot summer without any new Glee episodes, now that the first season has sadly come to an end. But those rabid fans are in luck: EW has some scoop on what we’ll be seeing next year. “We’re plotting the first 11 and we already know the first six of them and they’re really big fun, moving episodes,” says co-creator Ryan Murphy. “We always go back to the idea of how does our society treat and feel about funding for the arts, and the answer is not very good.” Here’s what else Murphy says to expect in Glee‘s second season:

* More Musical Tributes: “The Madonna episode was so popular, I think I’m gonna do two tribute episodes — one in the fall and one in the spring — and we’re figuring out who those artists are.”
* New Characters: Murphy already let it slip that Susan Boyle might be appearing but he and producers are also looking to add some new members to the club, including a boyfriend for Kurt. “I just want him to be an everyday dude,” says Murphy. “And I want him to be sort of struggling [with his sexuality] and Kurt helps him deal with it and in the process they fall for each other.” Also look for a potential love interest for Mercedes and a Carrie Underwood-esque, Christian country singer who will be a rival to Rachel. “When people hear we’re going to do that, they will expect that we’re making fun of her,” says Murphy. “We’re not. The show is about inclusiveness and about giving voices to a lot of people.”
* A Major Season Finale: “I know that season two ends with Nationals in New York. I don’t know if they’ll make it — we haven’t figured that out.”

What do you think PopWatchers? Are you more excited about season two? Or are you still going through Glee-withdrawal?

Sounds awesome! Mercedes in particular deserves some love and the Rachel rival is obviously going to be very hilarious. It would be wonderful [and comedy gold] if she acted the way Rachel does but also had her own quirks too.

I can tell it's going to be another awesome season happy.gif

Posted by: Silas Sep 23 2010, 06:53 PM

The Rocky Horror episode is 205 and a EP will be released of the music from it. We are getting a Superbowl EP and two full length albums, one from fall the other from Spring.

For those of you with taste, Quinn is singing a duet with Sam [ohmy.gif ohmy.gif ohmy.gif w00t.gif] in 204 which is titled Duet. Mercedes is doing River Deep Mountain High with Santana in 204 as well which will be epicness.

Merceded is also doing an Aretha Franklin number in 203 [Grilled Cheesus] but the title hasn't been announced yet.

They are killing someone off in this years regionals episode. The Glee Cast are told about the death just before the showdown, having a huge impact on their big performance. My guess is that it will be Karofsky. ohmy.gif

Posted by: Jonjo Feb 24 2011, 04:24 AM

Why do I get the feeling it'll be Emma? sad.gif

Posted by: Aled. Feb 24 2011, 04:54 AM

I'm refusing to use spoilers in the spoiler thread.

Most theories on this are heading towards it being Pavarotti (the bird). Major impact on The Warblers and could lead to Kurt (and plus Blaine maybe?) back in New Directions. Of the actual characters Karofsky makes sense, but I hear he's promised a happy ending and would just be too 'depressing' really. Carl could be a likely candidate too I suppose.

Not going to be any of the 15 regulars. Mike O'Malley (Burt) is confirmed to be signed on for Season 3 from all accounts. Might be Terri but I really want a happy storyline for her too. (or you know, just any sort of appearance at this rate)

I considered Jean but I dont think they'd do that to Sue. There's Carole, but that would be just cruel.

On the whole, unless it's the bird, I dont think this is a good idea. Too depressing, too dark, and would probably be handled horribly and forgotten about immidetly afterwards. And considering the hideous mess that was the episode where there was only a heart attack, I dread to think of awfulness Rachel will sing if someone actually dies.

Posted by: Poisoned Kisses Feb 24 2011, 02:20 PM

Interesting spoiler going round at the moment -

Terri returns in Episode 17 with some shocking news for Will- she's pregnant for real this time!

Posted by: Jack Sykes Mar 12 2011, 11:00 AM

I don't know where the best place is to post this, but the season finale has been confirmed for Tuesday 24th May at the later time of 9/8c

Posted by: Liаm Apr 29 2011, 10:06 PM

I've got some info from Glee wiki - as it's a wiki take it with a pinch of salt, but just thought I'd share. I REFUSE to use spoiler tags too a la Aled:

Episode 21 is called Funeral, in which someone will die, and it will devestate 'one of McKinley's own'. The wiki page says it's NOT Terri, Emma or Sue. My guess is Becky, because they are casting her mother. I can't see who else it would be, unless it's a parent of ND? Or Holly/April? ohmy.gif

In the same episode, a major couple will break up (obviously Artanny sad.gif).

A few rumours going round regarding Nationals too - apparently in the episode the girls of ND sing Wannabe (surely it'd be on Volume 6 if so - I doubt it's true), plus Santana and Mercedes (w00t.gif) will sing...
Videophone by Beyonce! Sam will get a solo (best not be the nationals solo) and Vocal Adrenaline sing Meet Me Halfway (lol, wasn't Charice meant to be singing that in 'Sue Sylvester Bowl Shuffle'?). Patti Lupone will also guest star as herself, and Rachel will sing one of her songs.

I would've started the Funeral episode thread, I just think it's too early. I was also going start a thread for all this info, but then I remembered this for all the spoilers!

Oh yeah, I forgot about the Nationals EP last year blush.gif And Videophone could be quite good, I mean Santana + Mercedes + R&B = epic (as we saw with The Boy Is Mine)

Posted by: Jonjo Apr 30 2011, 11:27 AM

But 'The Boy Is Mine' is completely different to 'Videophone'. (Most notably it's not utter ear-rape)

I just wish we could have a Glee Cast cover of GaGa's 'Paparazzi'! sad.gif That'd suit a 'Toxic'/'Don't Stop Believin''/'Teenage Dream' sort of production so, so much! I'm surprised they haven't already done it in all honesty.

Posted by: Liаm Apr 30 2011, 11:34 AM

Yeah, I suppose TBIM is proper R&B and Videophone has like a hip-hop element to it. I still think it'll suit Santana/Mercedes. And it is in Nationals episode - episode 21 is Funeral and all the songs will probably be mellow, it'd be a bit innapproiate to sing Videophone at a funeral and it'd be out of place in the episode even if they sing it before they hear of the death. And one, two or all Rachel/Quinn/Santana singing Paparazzi would be epic!

Posted by: Jaack Sykes May 25 2011, 05:45 PM

Has it already been mentioned that there are supposed to be four new cast members in Season 3, along with five new writers (which should hopefully mean the storylines pick up a bit).

And has it been posted that they are meant to be doing 'Parachute' in the first episode? I remember reading that in The Sun, and although it's a bit soon for them to be deciding on songs, it is good promo considering Cheryl is now in TXF(US).

Posted by: Jonjo May 25 2011, 06:43 PM

I heard about 'Parachute' (think I read it in the Girls Aloud forum) but I would far prefer Quinn to sing 'Fight For This Love', especially considering the situation she'd be in with Finn and Rachel. But it's obviously going to be Rachel performing 'Parachute' (which is one of my least favourite Cheryl songs sad.gif)

Isn't the winner of "The Glee Project" scheduled to have a 6 or 7 episode stint? Are they included as one of the four new cast members?

Posted by: Jaack Sykes May 25 2011, 06:57 PM

I'm unsure on whether they're counted as one of the four (hopefully, as I think five in total could be a bit too much all at once), but I did think of The Glee Project when Sam & Mercedes got together. If a male won TGP, weren't they meant to be playing a love interest for Mercedes. Just wondering if anythings changed now.

I'm happy with Parachute though. The only Cheryl single I'd probably listen to out of choice these days. I am interested with what happens regarding Quinn next season, but I hope they don't drag it out too long as I see Rachel/Finn as an end-game couple

Posted by: Silas May 25 2011, 09:40 PM

If a Cheryl song is sung in early season 3 then they've been asked to do so by Fox to help remove the 'WHO????' element from her on the X Factor USA panel.

Glee is confirmed to return with 'The Proposal' after the Christmas break on 17th January. There will be a break of some length starting 6th March.

So we should get 7 episodes before the break, and the other 6 will probably return during April & May.

'Star Wars' Chewbacca to make cameo in Christmas 'Glee' episode

Chewbacca will make a cameo appearance in the upcoming Christmas episode of Glee.

Harry Shum Jr - who plays dancer Mike Chang in the Fox comedy - explained that the Star Wars fan favourite appears in a dream of Kevin McHale's character Artie Abrams.

"It was incredibly awesome," Shum Jr told AOL TV. "It was a huge surprise.

"He makes an appearance into Artie's dream in a way. I can't really delve into the details, but it's something to do with Artie."

The actor added that his Glee co-stars and crew made the most of having the Wookie on set. "Half of us came in right after he was done and it was like a mad house," he said.

"Everyone's face was so happy. They were showing off their pictures. They actually got him to come back to take pictures with us, too.

"It was so funny how many people actually love Chewbacca."

The Glee cast covered Mariah Carey's 'All I Want for Christmas is You' for the episode and subsequent second Christmas album.

The show airs on Tuesdays at 8/7c on Fox in the US and on Thursdays at 9pm on Sky1 in the UK. The Christmas special episode will air in the US on December 13.

The January 24th episode (11th of this season) is reported to be a Michael Jackson tribute, following the already covered 'ABC', 'Man In The Mirror' & 'Thriller'. Filming should start on Friday, with half being shot before the Christmas break and half after. Hopefully the fact it's being "fast tracked" due to how much the cast enjoyed doing the MJ performances at sectionals doesn't mean that it'll feel rushed.

-
Sam & Mercedes should are doing 'Summer Nights' from Grease in episode 10 I think, there's a clip on YT that someone filmed as they were shooting at some high school. A Grease themed episode would be totally amazing.

Lea Michele confirmed at the premiere of 'New Year's Eve' that she'd just recorded a David Guetta song that they "turned into a ballad".

'Glee': Pitbull in guest role talks, Rachel's dads being cast

Pitbull is reportedly in talks to guest star in Glee.

Producers are hoping that the rapper will agree to play the brother of Santana (Naya Rivera), Entertainment Weekly reports.

The news comes shortly after it emerged that Gloria Estefan has signed up to play Santana's mother.

Ricky Martin was initially expected to appear in Estefan's episode, but he is reportedly now due to star in a separate instalment to make room for a big musical number.

The publication also reports that producers are currently in the process of casting Rachel's dads.

The pair, who have been frequently mentioned in the show, are expected to appear in an episode before the end of the third season.

Lea Michele, who plays Rachel, has previously said she wants Nathan Lane to play one of the fathers.

Pitbull, as Santana's brother. Life = complete.

Gloria Estefan and Pitbull as Santana's family?

My god this is gonna be epic ohmy.gif

Posted by: THEO. Dec 9 2011, 05:58 PM

I was wondering who on earth Santana had come out to, if her mother was yet to appear. Turns out that was her grandmother in I Kissed a Girl. Pitbull will most likely be unbearable, so I really hope I'm proven wrong.

Posted by: Jáhq Dec 9 2011, 06:01 PM

I found the whole Santana thing confusing - she knows her parents, but she doesn't live with them, she lives with her grandmother? Or do they all live together and it's just her grandmother that owns the house if she was throwing her out?

Also, am I right in thinking we saw a photo of Rachel's Dads in S1? Just thinking about continuity, but since the show has never cared about that before..

'Wanna Be Startin' Something' and 'I Just Can't Stop Loving You' are set to feature in the MJ special.

Glee Exclusive: Rachel's Gay Dads Revealed!

As far as parental cliffhangers go, it's second only to the identity of the Mother on a certain CBS sitcom: Glee has finally cast Rachel's gay dads, and TVLine can reveal which musically-inclined actors landed the plum parts.

A show insider confirms to TVLine exclusively that onetime Law & Order: Criminal Intent detective Jeff Goldblum and Broadway veteran Brian Stokes Mitchell have been tapped to play Hiram and LeRoy Berry, the adoptive parents of Lea Michele's character.

The duo will first appear in the show's Valentine's Day episode — which as luck would have it will actually air on Feb. 14, and is titled "Heart". And yes, they will sing.

Although Goldblum is best known for his movie and TV work, he's also an accomplished jazz pianist who made his Broadway debut back in 1971 in the Tony-winning musical Two Gentleman in Verona.

Mitchell, meanwhile, is something of a Great White Way legend, having appeared in dozens of high-profile productions including Jelly's Last Jam, Ragtime, Man of La Mancha and Kiss Me Kate (for which he won a 2000 Tony Award for Best Actor.) His TV credits include playing Kelsey Grammer's onscreen nemesis on Frasier and a love interest for Vanessa Williams' Wilhelmina on Ugly Betty.

Matt Bomer has been cast as Blaine's brother and a couple of Duran Duran songs have been cleared for them to perform in an April episode.

Episode 14, the regionals episode airing on February 21st, is titled 'On My Way'. No idea right now as to whether we'll be getting any more original songs but I hope we do at some point this season (aside from the Christmas episode).

I think this is Episode 17 that they're filming, which means it comes right after Saturday Night Fever. If they insist on still doing tributes I wish they were a bit more spaced out.

Posted by: Liаm Mar 8 2012, 06:35 PM

I wondering who on earth it could be... I thought of Whitney but they wouldn't have written the episode, cleared the songs etc. so relatively soon after her death would they? Perhaps Barbra Streisand, although if that was true then I'm sure would've hyperventilated a bit more on Twitter, iirc Barbra is one of her fave singers as well as her being Rachel's idol.

Posted by: THEO. Mar 8 2012, 08:30 PM

Tribute makes it seem like they're no longer with us, so unfortunately, a Whitney episode seems like it's approaching us sad.gif The Madonna episode was so original/fantastic, now they just seem like they're trying to cram as many songs in as possible to make episodes featuring 1 artist's back catalogue.

Posted by: Jonjoria Mar 9 2012, 12:22 PM

I wish more episodes was like the 'Rumors' episode. That is definitely my favourite "tribute" episode. All the songs used were by Fleetwood Mac and dedicated to them. However, it somehow managed to be so well done, develop stories and it managed not to feel like a tribute episode. It also introduced the younger generation to an album, which they probably never would have bothered listening to out of choice.

Posted by: Liаm Mar 9 2012, 04:11 PM

It IS a Whitney tribute I've read, there will be 8 songs and the episode will centre around the bad feelings they all have about graduation.

Posted by: THEO. Mar 9 2012, 04:30 PM

Alex Newell (the forth Glee Project winner) will appear as a member of Vocal Adrenaline, alongside new coach Jessie St. James (Jonathan Groff).

I appreciate that the producers enjoyed him first time around, but it's really just showing that he's not gone very far in life, surely? Which is what series three is about...

Well she has already done "My Life Would Suck without You"...

I'm not sure whether I'd like to hear a cover of "Because of You" - it's pretty iconic as far as pop/rock ballads go, and Lea and Kelly have completely different styles, so it may just sound a bit like karaoke.

Posted by: Jonjoria Mar 18 2012, 08:37 AM

Why do I get the feeling it's something less obvious, like 'Beautiful Disaster' (the piano led version)? Or at least I hope so!

BUT OH MY GOD. 'SOBER'?! Her singing it to Quinn whilst Quinn's at deaths door/at her funeral (if she has indeed died!)?! I'm sad/about to be in tears just thinking about it! LOL. Glad it's Lea getting the Kelly song and none of the others.

The "Glee" cast sat down with James Lipton for an episode of "Inside the Actors Studio" way back in December of 2011, and now we'll finally be able to see the results. According to a tweet from writer/director Jeff Wurtz that was dug up by Hypable, the Gleeky installment will air April 9 at 8 p.m. on Bravo.

"Just finished editing an episode of Inside the Actors Studio with the cast of Glee. The show will air April 9 th on Bravo TV at 8pm," Wurtz writes.

According to audience accounts from the taping, cast members Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Chris Colfer, Matthew Morrison and Jane Lynch were there alongside creator Ryan Murphy, and discussed their backgrounds before getting on the show, the audition process, being bullied and other interesting tidbits.

Going to have to try and find that online after and check it out.

Why would you say that Rory is unlikely to stay? And you seem to have missed Sam too.

Just seen a description for 3x18, entitled 'Choke', and it's meant to touch on domestic violence(!!)

Posted by: THEO. Apr 13 2012, 05:36 PM

I missed Sam because I couldn't find a mention, and forget to add that to the end - what year is he supposed to be? Also, I thought Rory would be unlikely to stay because of his Visa running out, as mentioned in Heart... Joe has now joined New Directions though, so I assume he's a junior (unless it seems that audiences don't take to him), meaning one fewer new cast member for season four.

Posted by: Jáhq Apr 13 2012, 05:40 PM

I'd assume Sam is 11th Grade since he's missing from the promo pictures but reports a while ago had suggested otherwise.

Rory's visa wasn't actually running out. tongue.gif The end of that episode was meant to indicate that he'd just said that so Sugar would pick him.

I always thought Sam would be Junior this year so he has one more left.

Perez Hilton [URGH] & Rex Lee join Lindsay Lohan as the celebrity judges at Nationals.

Posted by: THEO. Apr 26 2012, 03:13 PM

The songs for the Nationals episode (21) have been released, and they are completely bizarre choices for both New Directions and Vocal Adrenaline:

New Directions:
"The Edge of Glory" (Lady GaGa)
"It's All Coming Back to Me Now" (Céline Dion)
"Paradise by the Dashboard Light" (Meat Loaf)

Vocal Adrenaline:
"Starships" (Nicki Minaj)
"Pinball Wizard" (The Who)
"Boogie Shoes" (KC and the Sunshine Band) [Apparently they're performing this again, which is the most bizarre decision]

Also, a massive Quinn spoiler:

QUOTE
But the biggest scoop (and a major spoiler ahead!) from today's filming involves a certain blonde in a wheelchair. When Glee returned from its long hiatus after the car accident, Quinn revealed that her spine was severely compressed and that she can't move her legs or feet. She can make a full recovery, but it'll take time. Those inside the auditorium where filming took place noticed that Quinn was not in her wheelchair: "...we hear that Quinn will be back on her feet dancing!"

Two endings of who wins have been filmed, due to the audience being present.

QUOTE
Question: How is next season of Glee going to work exactly, what with half the show being set in New York and the other half at McKinley? —Jenny
Ausiello: This is subject to change, but it’s my understanding that they’re taking a Lost-like approach to Season 4 — devoting whole episodes to one location or the other. In other words, the premiere might be set at NYADA with Rachel and Kurt, while Episode 2 could focus on the first day back at McKinley. Smart way to go, IMHO.

Question: Please tell me Glee will actually be shooting in New York next season and not on some cheesy Hollywood backlot outfitted to look like New York. We can tell the difference. —Melissa
Ausiello: And so, apparently, can Ryan Murphy. “We’re coming to New York,” the Glee boss insists. “Nothing is in stone, because we’re still budgeting, but I would love to come once every five weeks and shoot a lot of scenes there. We are 100 percent doing that; we’re not going to do it all on a soundstage. That was one of the fun reasons to do [the storyline].”

I'm so not convinced that this is going to work. Including two locations in one episode might not have been great but this idea sounds too disjointed for my liking, like two different shows and I'm not liking it. Did anyone here watch Lost and did they manage to make it work? I don't know exactly what they mean by that as I never really watched..

Posted by: Silas May 23 2012, 10:51 AM

This could be good and inject new life into the show, or it could be absolutely fucking disastrous.

Some short info about three new characters.

QUOTE
Question: Is it true that Glee is introducing three new characters next season, including a brother for Puck? Or is it just a fake rumor? — Milissa

Ausiello: Sure hope it’s not a fake rumor since I broke the news on Twitter last night. Here are some additional deets on the newbies: Besides Puck’s heretofore-never-seen guitar-strumming kid brother (who at this point is nameless), the fall lineup will include a high school girl and a college-age feller. Oh, and — shocking! — they will all be as easy on the ears as they will be on the eyes.

Hmm..a way to keep Puck in the show?

In a new interview with TV Guide, Lea Michele teased that her alter ego may be about to get a bit of a drastic makeover at the hands of Sarah Jessica Parker’s character, who will appear in a number of episodes in the fourth run. Chris Colfer also opened up about the new storyline and admitted that Rachel is crying out for a new look now that she is in the big city.

Lea agreed and went on to confirm that Berry will struggle with some of the non singing elements of her studies at NYADA. In particular, Rachel will find dance classes difficult and Michele revealed:

“Dance is not Rachel’s strong point, but as a freshman it’s a requirement class she has to take. It will put Rachel in a very vulnerable place, stuck with a teacher [played by Kate Hudson]who doesn’t make it easy for her.”

Colfer revealed that he will be working closely with Sex and the City star Parker, as his character Kurt “will find himself in an establishment where Sarah Jessica Parker is his manager of sorts, but not in a performance sense.”

Meanwhile, Finn will be heading in a whole new direction to his two crooning pals and it seems he will most likely be accepting a place in army bootcamp in season four.

Cory Monteith teased:

“Finn would have to be in very good shape and get incredibly fit, meaning I would have to be incredibly fit.”

He laughed:

“I’m doing extra stuff this summer – CrossFit and fewer Snickers bars.”

'Let's Have a Kiki'? Scissor Sisters? mellow.gif laugh.gif Seems incredibly random but I can't wait to see how that turns out, hopefully it's a life giving performance.

Doesn't it have a fair amount of swearing too. I'm ready for more 'Starships'-like censorship.

"Hung Up" LQ has leaked.

Posted by: THEO. Jan 20 2013, 10:48 PM

Kurt and Blaine are going to sing "Come What May" from Moulin Rouge in 4x15. The episode is said to be a "movie music" themed episode (so I'm guessing all musicals, rather than just songs used in musicals).

http://www.mjsbigblog.com/glee-season-4-spoilers-kurt-blaine-come-what-may-4x15-moulin-rouge-klaine.htm

There's also a clip of Ryan Murphy filming the episode script, suggesting an upcoming Finn/Emma romance?! ohmy.gif

There's an LQ clip of Hung Up... It sounds AMAZING. I thought Diva was the next episode so it'd be out on the weekend, argggh need it now sad.gif

Also apparently Dancing On My Own might be cut from the episode, dunno why but it says on Glee Wiki there's a possibility.

Full list for DIva:

Diva (Beyonce) wacko.gif - New Directions girls & Blaine
Don't Stop Me Now (Queen) - Blaine
Nutbush CIty Limits (Ike & Tina Turner) - Santana
Make No Mistake, She's Mine (Barbra Streisand & Kim Carnes) - Santana & Sam
Dancing On My Own (Robyn) - Brittany
Bring Him Home (Les Miserables) - Rachel & Kurt
Hung Up (Madonna) - Tina
Girl On Fire (Alicia Keys) - Santana

Actress-singer and X Factor judge Demi Lovato is nearing a deal to join the Fox musical dramedy’s upcoming fifth season for a significant arc, TVLine has learned exclusively.

According to sources, Lovato (who turns 21 on Tuesday) will play Dani, a NYC-based struggling artist friend of Rachel and Santana’s. She will also interact frequently with Adam Lambert’s incoming character, and the pair will have several musical numbers together.

Lovato’s deal calls for her to appear in at least six episodes, beginning with the second part of the show’s Beatles’ tribute, airing Oct. 3. (Glee will work around Lovato’s X Factor schedule.)

Glee Episode 5.03 ‘The Quarterback’ Synopsis.

In the wake of Finn’s sudden death, former members of New Directions return to McKinley to remember their fallen friend. While a stoic Mr. Schue encourages all the gleeks to “memorialize him the way we do everything – by singing about it,” some of the kids find the exercise more cathartic than others. At the Hudson-Hummel home, Kurt, Burt and Carole sort through Finn’s belongings and what begins as a somber occasion blossoms into a poignant and much needed family moment. Meanwhile, Emma grows concerned when she believes Will is so busy taking care of others that he’s not allowing himself time to grieve; Santana struggles with using her “bitch” mask to hide her fond feelings for Finn, and has a run in with Bree, McKinley’s “New Santana”; and following a heart-to-heart with Coach Beiste, Puck honors Finn’s memory by making a life-changing decision about his future.

And OH GOD, Will is going to do the rap bit isn't he? cry.gif Wrecking Ball is sure to be stunning though, if done properly <3

Posted by: Gary Can't Stop Oct 13 2013, 01:00 PM

Wrecking Ball will either be a hot orgasm or a hot mess.

If I Were A Boy though, unique is going to SLAY that.

Also,

Episode 6 spoiler songs:

Movin' Out - Blaine and Sam
Honesty - Artie
An Innocent Man - Ryder

Piano Man - Blaine
Just The Way You Are - Sam, Blaine, Kurt, Santana and Rachel.

'If I Were A Boy' is going to be atrocious with Unique's annoying, over singing all over it. sad.gif

Brave wub.gif Some really nice choices there, Starchild/Adam should do a great performance of The Darkness, very suited. Not bothered by another Christmas ep but loling at the idea of them doing the Chipmunks. laugh.gif

Santana doing Don't Rain On My Parade? WHAT? Not amused.

Has this been confirmed? unsure.gif They'd be able to air it on December 12th before going on the long break, wouldn't have expected them to have decided on songs for an episode which won't air for months.

But since they likely have 13 episodes to air from late April at the earliest into the summer, is it right to think S6 wouldn't start until January 2015 let's say - 13 ep final season? Sounds like a good bet.

Posted by: Silas Nov 16 2013, 12:23 PM

At this rate it'll be lucky to get a 6th season.

Blaine and Tina to slay it though wub.gif And two Sanchel duets plus Santana doing Rain On My Parade <3

The article linked below talks a lot about the final season, whether we'll be seeing the new kids again, where it'll be set (not in New York? ohmy.gif), how it may end...and it talks about the final season having 24 episodes (since they've had two less for season 5 I guess) but I expected half that given the ratings, who knows, it could well change. laugh.gif

Not sure how a setting other than New York will work but maybe it fits with the time jump... Interesting read anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing how the final season pans out!

Posted by: Heezus Apr 15 2014, 10:11 PM

And here I was thinking it was doing so bad that Season 6 would probably be a 13-episode season.

The repopulation of McKinley High has begun!

Glee is set to introduce at least five new characters — all of them McKinley sophomores — in its sixth and final season, TVLine has learned exclusively.

http://tvline.com/2014/08/06/glee-season-6-cast-new-characters-spencer-roderick/

The link above outlines who the five new characters are.

WHY?!?!? The show has 13 episodes left to wrap up, what is the point of adding anymore new characters when they should be using this time to focus on the original characters that we care for the most and is what the remaining fans want.

Posted by: Liаm Aug 6 2014, 04:46 PM

Wow, that is a pointless move... Spencer sounds interesting as a middle finger to the stereotype but as the final season and with only 13 episodes what we don't need is time spent getting to know new characters that could be used tying up loose ends with the old characters we know, love and care about.

Posted by: seantobewild Aug 6 2014, 06:35 PM

Yay for team gay! cheer.gif

QUOTE
SPENCER | He’s the new resident “football stud” who just so happens to possess an incredible voice. He’s also gay. But, per the casting notice, “he’s post-Glee gay — no one messes with him about his sexuality because he will kick their asses if they do.”
Quite excited for this kink.gif

QUOTE
MASON AND MADISON | Male and female twin Cheerios. They’re super-positive and extremely weird. Mason gives off a gay vibe (spoiler alert: he’s not).

Posted by: Jade Aug 6 2014, 11:16 PM

This makes no sense, they had backlash from the fans originally after the newbies in s4, then we grew to love them, THEN they take them away to focus on the originals... and now NEW newbies?!!

They best be decent.

YES TO THE SEASON TWO JUSTIN BIEBER EXPERIENCE GIF wub.gif

I think the shows in the last stretch they don't care about fudging things up, if you know what I mean? laugh.gif

Posted by: Cameron Aug 7 2014, 06:10 PM

I would rather they scrapped the glee club and focused on New York.

I guess its the only way to keep Matthew Morrison and Jane Lynch in

If they ever got rid of Jane Lynch </3

Max Adler, who recurred as Kurt’s closeted gay bully Dave Karofsky during the Fox musical’s first three seasons, has booked a major arc for at least four of the show’s 13 final episodes, according to The Hollywood Reporter — and he might be coveting his former crush’s fiancé Blaine (Darren Criss)!

http://tvline.com/2014/08/21/glee-season-6-spoilers-max-adler-karofsky-kurt-blaine/

This I can get on board with - he was a part of the show when it first started and I think it could be interesting to see where he's at now!

Glee is saying “bye bye” to the Big Apple as it heads into its sixth and final season, with Rachel and the gang returning to the hallowed halls they once called home — after a six-month time jump, of course.

Fox on Wednesday released an avalanche of Season 6 spoilers, and TVLine is breaking it all down into easy-to-digest (and difficult-to-believe) bites:

* Rachel, following her “humiliating failure as a TV actress” will return to Lima and “reinstate and lead” the glee club.

* Kurt will follow Miz Berry back home, helping to return New Directions to its former glory.

* Sue will remain the show’s main antagonist, banishing all arts from McKinley High.

* Blaine and Sam will also find themselves in Lima with Mr. Schue, and all three are said to have found “surprising new gigs.”

http://tvline.com/2014/08/27/glee-season-6-spoilers-rachel-kurt-new-directions/

I like the sound of this idea, to return the show to how it began, and Finn was taking charge of Glee club before his death so Rachel is finishing what he started so to speak.

THEY CAN'T BANISH NEW YORK WHAT IS THIS? I demand to have a meeting with the writers, this is so not on! sad.gif

Posted by: Jade Aug 28 2014, 05:54 PM

Oh dear, they can never make their mind up about the direction of the show can they!! laugh.gif

(In other news, I heard their cover of 'Marry the Night' in the Harvester I just went to! What is this... recognition of a Season FIVE song outside the fandom?! hah!)

Posted by: Liаm Aug 28 2014, 06:06 PM

Sounds good but I agree they probably should have just settled on the New York focus for the final season, at least that would see us through the end with the characters we really know and love. It just makes the show somewhat disjointed between seasons almost :/

It's going to be odd seeing the show set in the 'future' yet performing 'current' songs. Maybe they'll have to write their own future pop hits.

Posted by: jafetsigfinns Oct 22 2014, 09:13 AM

It won't be in the future compared to current time though? It's just a six month time jump from the last episode (premiered in May 2014) to the next episode (premiered in "Early 2015") .. so if anything it will still be taking place behind current time lol.
