Sigma and Ella Henderson get a second week at number one!
Congratulations to Sigma featuring Ella Henderson, who grab another week at the number one spot. This is the first time since the final week of What Kind Of Man's six week residency at the top where a number one has remained at said position for more than one week. Had it not done so, it would have been the first number one for either artist to spend just one week at the top. This also means that Sigma and Ella have won the coveted Birthday Number One, as they will be number one over the 16th of June, which is my birthday. Ella just missed out on this last year with Ghost, which got to number one the following week. Last year's Birthday Number One was SecondCity's I Wanna Feel, which re-enters at #97. This keeps Little Mix at bay Black Magic spends a second week at the runner-up slot behind Glitterball. Meanwhile, this week's highest new entry comes from Foxes with Body Talk, the first single to her second album. It isn't the only song in this week's chart about our anatomy having the power of speech, as Tove Lo's Talking Body is at #71, climbing three places. Following the arrival of its parent album, What Kind Of Man climbs back up 4 places to number four. Ella Eyre completes the top 5 with Together. Philip George falls three places to #6 with Afraid To Love. His other song in the chart, Wish You Were Mine, falls the exact same number of places, from #12 to #15. Years & Years, on the other hand, see their two songs move the same number of places, but in different directions: Shine is down 1 place to #7, while King is up 1 place to #9. John Newman is a new entry at #8 with Come and Get It. The Selena Gomez song peaked at the same position on the UK chart. Gabrielle Aplin rounds off the top 10 with Light Up The Dark. Other entries Following the release of its parent album, Psycho by Muse soars 31 places to #14. The Clash enter at #52 with Rock the Casbah, while Charles Hamilton featuring Rita Ora and Tinie Tempah featuring Jess Glynne enter at #56 and #57 with New York Raining and Not Letting Go. Flashlight is new at #62, while Duke Dumont's reprise of The Giver is also new, at #82. We All Want The Same Thing is a new entry at #86, and the final new entry comes from DJ Fresh & Adam F with Believer at #92. There are two re-entries this week: the aforementionned I Wanna Feel at #97, and Rudimental's Never Let You Go, which previously peaked at #84 five weeks ago and re-enters at #89. High Climbers and New Peaks Don't Give Up On Us continues its slow but steady ascent up the chart, moving up 1 place to #17. Meanwhile, the Rudimental version of Bloodstream reaches a new peak of #17. Delilah cracks the top 20, while Bills jumps up 8 places to a new peak of #24. Kodaline's The One enters the top 40 at #39, while Big Girls Cry re-enters the top 40 at #40. Good Enough by Little Mix makes a pretty good 13 place ascent to #51, while Queen rock up 32 places to #55. Not Giving Up climbs back up 12 places to #63, while Worship by Years & Years goes up 8 places to #77. The biggest climber this week is Kidz by Take That, which is up 35 places to #41. The biggest faller this week is Eurovision winner Mans Zelmerlow's Heroes, which falls 33 places to #96. |

Hey Taylor
Body Talk is great! Could be heading for my 2nd fave lead of hers, behind Youth, Clarity and Right Here (Andy C Remix) Need to listen to Newman's track, New York Raining is pretty good and NLG great also (and looks likely to smash! ) Flashlight is ok but the Giver pretty dissapointing compared to his previous 3 which were all brilliant Rixton's track is pretty good, the Believer track is good but the remix is a bit better |
