adrianreavill83's Pop Music Quiz - 24 December 2020
To all Buzz Jack members, i have compiled a quiz for you this Christmas Eve. I am going to give you a list of 10 singles that topped the UK chart in a specific year. The question is this - I have named 10 chart topping singles from a given year. However there is a catch - One of these songs is a fake number one hit. You have to guess what the fake one is and what the correct answer should be? Question 1 - No.1 hits of 1989 1. Kylie and Jason - Especially For You 2. Simple Minds - Belfast Child 3. Soul II Soul - Back To Life 4. Alice Cooper - Poison 5. Jive Bunny - Swing The Mood 6. Black Box - Ride On Time 7. Lisa Stansfield - All Around The World 8. New Kids On The Block - You Got It (The Right Stuff) 9. Jive Bunny - Let's Party 10. Band Aid II - Do They Know It's Christmas Which one of these songs is the fake number one? |

Clue. The fake No.1 was kept off the top spot by one of the No.1's on the question

Alice Cooper - 'Poison'? I believe 'School's Out' was his only #1 here.
(I'll let someone else attempt the real #1 so I don't hog this thread x) |

The answer was Poison by Alice Cooper (UK No.2), and the song that kept it off was Swing The Mood by Jive Bunny

Oh yeah I should've clocked that only two Jive Bunny #1s were in the list as they indeed managed a whopping three in one year.
That was fun, would definitely love more |

I would have said 'Poison' as well. One of the best #2's of all time for me typical that Jive Bunny of all things held it off
