Connor Maynard doesn’t see much chart success these days. His early fame got him some big hits and he was able to work with names like Wiley, Ne-Yo and Pharrell. Fast forward to 2020 and two albums later he’s still making music, but most of what it is are dance records, which is why he fits right at home in this series of dance vocalists. Here’s what we have seen from him so far;

Dancing In The Headlights (with DJ Antoine)

Catch Me Here (with Drumsound & Bassline Smith)

Are You Sure? (with Kris Kross Amsterdam)

All My Love (with Cash Cash)

Understand Me (with CMC$)

Whenever (with Kris Kross Amsterdam & The Boy Next Door)

Hold On Tight (with R3HAB)

How You Love Me (with Hardwell)

That Way (with SDJM)

Way Back Home (with SHAUN)

Ooh Girl (with Kris Kross Amsterdam)

Pray (with Alok)

Talk To Me (with MOWË)

Which of his current dance features is your favourite?

Which dance producers would you like to see him feature with in the future?

Unfortunately for me, this has been the least enjoyable thread in the series so far. The majority of his dance features have been very similar and not so appealing over time, so I don’t rate many of these songs very highly at all, especially the ones that are covers, but this is the best effort I could do;

1. Are You Sure? (with Kris Kross Amsterdam)
2. How You Love Me (with Hardwell)
3. Dancing In The Headlights (with DJ Antoine)
4. Ooh Girl (with Kris Kross Amsterdam)
5. Hold On Tight (with R3HAB)
6. Talk To Me (with MOWË)
7. All My Love (with Cash Cash)
8. Catch Me Here (with Drumsound & Bassline Smith)
9. Pray (with Alok)
10. Way Back Home (with SHAUN)
11. Understand Me (with CMC$)
12. That Way (with SDJM)
13. Whenever (with Kris Kross Amsterdam & The Boy Next Door)

Personally I would rather he stop making anymore music, unless he seriously changes some of the types of artists he record with. If I had to pick a couple of producers for him to do something with, my suggestion would be LVNDSCAPE or if he wants to go down a different route, then maybe Gorgon City.

Ouch. I haven't heard many of these songs so I am listening to many of them for the first time. The Hardwell track is a particular disappointment - more like Softwell laugh.gif . The DJ Antoine one is quite good though. Didn't know he did a partial Shakira cover, it is OK I suppose but not as good as the original. The Backstreet Boys cover I actually like in a so bad its good sort of way.

Are You Sure is a good summery song, I picked that one as my favourite. I like the Alok one and its drop but its not really dance music.

I liked a few of his own songs way back when, but none of these if I'm honest.

none of these that I've heard are all that great, his name doesn't excite me at all.

I'll pick Are You Sure as it's the only one that cracked my personal chart, but I don't go back to it.
