#954 Mother Mother - Oh Ana
Spotify streams: 174m Year: 2005 UK Chart: DNC Canadian indie-rock band, they never crossed over to the UK but have a few entries in the countdown. #953 Rise Against - Hero Of War Spotify streams: 174m Year: 2008 UK Chart: DNC American band who also didn't have any UK crossover success. The song is an anti-war ballad. #952 Eamon - f*** It (I Don't Want You Back) Spotify streams: 174m Year: 2004 UK Chart: {1}-1-1-1-2-2-3-5-8-12-17-21-24-33-32-36-38-48-68-74R(452)->20 The biggest UK hit of 2004 but wasn't quite as big elsewhere in the world. #951 Don Omar - Ayer La Vi Spotify streams: 174m Year: 2008 UK Chart: DNC Another reggaeton act now. #950 Twista - Overnight Celebrity Spotify streams: 175m Year: 2004 UK Chart: {16}-23-33-41-53-54-70->7 Mid 00s rap hit, nothing special here. |

That last batch of songs is certainly meh, and can’t believe Eamon made it onto something like this as that song pre-dates streaming.

Eminem and Eric Prydz are decent from the last but one batch.
For my opinions on the Eamon song please refer to the title of the Eamon song. Thanks. |

Eamon being number one with that (and then Frankee with her answer song) really summed up UK culture at the time. Back then I preferred Frankee's version but Eamon's has aged better for me.

#949 P!nk - Sober
Spotify streams: 175m Year: 2008 UK Chart: 65-37-26-{9}-12-17-20-30-33-38-43-55-66-74-63-62-51-51-51-60->20 Following up mega hit So What, quite decent addition to her 00s output. #948 System Of A Down - Radio/Video Spotify streams: 176m Year: 2005 UK Chart: DNC Armenian-American metal band who didn't see that much UK chart success but were a lot bigger in America and remain huge on streaming with 8 of their songs in this list. This is quite a fun song anyway. #947 Maroon 5 - Harder To Breathe Spotify streams: 176m Year: 2002 UK Chart: {13}-17-18-27-37-47-60->7 Their debut single which still remains one of their best being a bit more rocky than what they'd end up becoming so I'm glad it's here amongst their later more remembered hits. #946 The White Stripes - Icky Thump Spotify streams: 176m Year: 2007 UK Chart: 13-{2}-6-25-42-50-63->7 Their obvious mega hit will be making an appearance a lot later on, until then this which was their highest charting hit from being their follow-up to that big album. With more of a passing resemblance to Led Zeppelin. #945 The Veronicas - Untouched Spotify streams: 176m Year: 2007 UK Chart: {8}-9-9-10-10-11-14-20-27-26-34-44-56-54-53-68-73-71R(2)-71R(2)->19 Australian duo whose song belatedly had a UK crossover in 2009 and remains their biggest hit by considerable distance. Great pop hit. |

'Sober' is fantastic her singles from the Funhouse era were some of the strongest I found and a superb album to boot.
'Harder To Breathe' also very good too. Maroon 5 started off very strongly. 'Icky Thump' is quite good too but feels largely forgotten imo despite the highest peak for them. 'Untouched' wasn't so keen on back then but it has grown on me a lot. Had always liked the violin and music instrumentation on it though. |

Funhouse era Pink was great but I never rated Sober as high as her follow-up single
Harder to Breathe is a gem from Maroon 5 that seems to be in the shadow of This Love and SWBL. Untouched still love it! |

Harder To Breathe is actually a good Maroon 5 song! I bet they have far worse to come in this…
I wish I had got more into White Stripes at the time too, but Seven Nation Army is really the one to watch for. |

#944 Jennifer Lopez - I'm Real (feat. Ja Rule) - Murder Remix
Spotify streams: 176m Year: 2001 UK Chart: {4}-7-11-17-20-29-31-31-27-29-35-40-54-48-59->15 J-Lo getting some street cred here with a feature from Ja Rule becoming her third-biggest 00s hit here. #943 Ludwig van Beethoven - Sonata No. 14 "Moonlight" in C-Sharp Minor", Op. 27 No. 2: I. Adagio sostenuto Spotify streams: 176m Year: 2007 UK Chart: DNC Yes really. Originally composed in 1801 it is the Paul Lewis 2007 recording of it that has proved most popular with the Spotify audience being one of the most streamed classical pieces. A beautiful composition anyhow so we'll let it in. #942 My Chemical Romance - Mama Spotify streams: 176m Year: 2006 UK Chart: DNC Yet another appearance from MCR now with a Black Parade album track. This is one of the best songs on the album though so yay. It is about a soldier who is about to die writing to his mother. #941 P.O.D. - Boom Spotify streams: 176m Year: 2001 UK Chart: DNC A nu-metal band that I'd never heard of, clearly a bigger deal in America. It is their 2nd-biggest streaming hit. #940 Cam'ron - Hey Ma Spotify streams: 176m Year: 2002 UK Chart: {8}-14-17-15-21-21-29-39-50-61->10 One of the many early 00s rappers who had a few big hits then got forgot about for the most part, this was his biggest hit. |

Boom being P.O.D’s second biggest streaming hit is a surprise. It makes me question which is the 1st - Alive or Youth Of The Nation. I imagine YOTN but either way MAN what a fantastic album that was
Hey Ma is a massive throwback |

'Mama' is for sure one of the best off The Black Parade!
'Boom' pretty sure I have heard before but could be cause it sounds like a lot of similar songs. Pretty good anyhow. Ludwig Van Beethoven *_* a lovely piece obviously. Cam'ron not too bad either. |

#939 Korn - Twisted Transistor
Spotify streams: 176m Year: 2005 UK Chart: {27}-55->2 This was the last UK top 40 hit for this nu-metal band who had about a decade of popularity. Half of their big hits were from the late 90s so they only have two appearances in this countdown. #938 Panic! At The Disco - Nine in the Afternoon Spotify streams: 176m Year: 2008 UK Chart: {13}-14-16-20-28-28-36-35-45-67->10 For a decade this was their highest-peaking UK hit (if not biggest - their more obvious hit will be coming a lot later on). Not a fan of either this or 'High Hopes' though. #937 Darius Rucker - Alright Spotify streams: 177m Year: 2008 UK Chart: DNC No appearances here for Darius Danesh, instead here is country star Darius Rucker who never had a UK hit (not even with his former band Hootie & The Blowfish). #936 Blu Cantrell - Hit 'Em Up Style (Oops!) Spotify streams: 177m Year: 2001 UK Chart: {12}-23-31-44-50-54-59-61-73->9 Hey ladies! A classic two-hit wonder here, this the first of her two about getting back at her cheating man. |
