Hailee Steinfeld (born December 11, 1996) is an American actress and singer. Marshmello
Enigmatic masked DJ/producer Marshmello makes groove-oriented, synth- and bass-heavy electronic dance music. In the spirit of other masked DJs like Deadmau5 and Daft Punk, Marshmello (whose real identity remains a mystery) appears wearing a full-head-covering marshmallow mask. I think Now You're Gone deserved its 5 weeks at number 1. Amazing song, especially the buildup and drop - 'Ready, Ready, Ready For Takeoff'! and also the song was the start of a brief eurodance revival in 2008.

'Love Story' is one of my favourite deep house songs of all time.

Mundian Te Bach Ke I really liked at the time iirc and True is amazing, an early bassline garage tune well before the main 2007-8 phase for the genre and the song sstill sounds relevant now.

Year 3000 was of course a school disco anthem back then (I was 10 at the time).

Edward Christopher Sheeran, MBE (born 17 February 1991) is an English singer, songwriter, guitarist, and record producer. Kendrick Lamar
Kendrick Lamar Duckworth (born June 17, 1987) is an American rapper and songwriter. Born and raised in Compton, California, he embarked on his musical career as a teenager under the stage name K-Dot, releasing a mixtape that garnered local attention and led to his signing with indie record label Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE). He began to gain recognition in 2010, after his first retail release, Overly Dedicated. The following year, Lamar independently released his first studio album, Section.80, which included his debut single, "HiiiPoWeR". By that time, he had amassed a large Internet following and collaborated with several prominent artists in the hip hop industry, including The Game, Busta Rhymes and Snoop Dogg.

Enigmatic masked DJ/producer Marshmello makes groove-oriented, synth- and bass-heavy electronic dance music. Born and raised in Forest Gate, East London, British hip-hop producer, songwriter, and DJ Steel Banglez's first steps into music came when his mother taught him how to play various classical Indian instruments at a young age. Picking up the music bug, Banglez was then taught how to DJ by his older brother before immersing himself in the then-growing grime and U.K. garage scenes, regularly appearing on local pirate radio stations. Ashley Nicolette Frangipane (born September 29, 1994), known professionally as Halsey (/ˈhɔːl.zi/), is an American singer-songwriter. Her stage name is a reference to the Halsey Street station of the New York City Subway in Brooklyn, and an anagram of her first name. Gaining attention from self-released music on social media platforms, Frangipane was signed by Astralwerks in 2014. She toured with acts such as The Kooks and Imagine Dragons to promote her debut extended play, Room 93 (2014). Her debut studio album, Badlands (2015), was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Four singles were released from the album, all of which achieved minor commercial success.

Halsey achieved success with the release of "Closer" (2016), a collaboration with The Chainsmokers. The song topped the charts in major music markets. Her second studio album, Hopeless Fountain Kingdom (2017), consisted of more "radio friendly" music than her prior releases. It became her first album to top the US Billboard 200. The album generated the single "Bad at Love", which became her first top 10 entry on the Billboard Hot 100 as a lead artist. Justin Randall Timberlake (born January 31, 1981) is an American singer-songwriter, actor and record producer. Born and raised in Tennessee, he appeared on the television shows Star Search and The All-New Mickey Mouse Club as a child. Biography

Norwegian pop singer/songwriter Sigrid followed her elder siblings into the music business, signing a major-label deal with Island at just 20 years of age. Born Sigrid Solbakk Raabe on September 5, 1996 into a music-loving family and brought up in the sunny seaport of Ålesund in western Norway, about 300 miles from Oslo, she was the youngest of three siblings, each of whom had their own musical career. Her sister Johanne was a classically trained singer who had studied in Italy and Spain, while her brother Tellef had tasted indie success at home with his own band. Growing up influenced by classic artists like Joni Mitchell, Chet Baker, and Neil Young, she was taught to play the piano at an early age by her grandmother and guitar by her brother, and for ten years was a dancer, studying several different styles.

Biography

There has to be some credit given for this band's name alone -- co-founder John Gourley once explained it as an attempt to create a demi-mythic entity bigger than the individual members. Formed in Wasilla, Alaska, experimental indie pop group Portugal. The Man grew out of the ashes of Anatomy of a Ghost, a post-hardcore band whose vocalist and guitarist -- Gourley and Zach Carothers, respectively -- opted to continue working together. Rounding out the new band's lineup was keyboardist/singer Wes Hubbard, himself a veteran of other Alaskan groups, and the trio eventually relocated from Alaska to Portland, Oregon. Their initial existence in the Pacific Northwest was the typical hardscrabble life of a band with few resources, but drummer Jason Sechrist (formerly of Konmai Defense System) joined to form a more stable lineup. The band's profile received a boost from the Internet (the musicians made heavy use of MySpace and PureVolume for promotional purposes), and Portugal. The Man released an EP in 2005 before issuing their debut album, Waiter: You Vultures!, in early 2006.

In 2007, the group (whose lineup had once again reverted to three members, as Hubbard had left and was replaced by touring keyboardist Ryan Neighbors) issued Church Mouth, whose aggressive sound bore traces of Led Zeppelin and Jane's Addiction. The bandmates then opted to finance their third record themselves, drawing upon a wealth of guest musicians -- including trombonists, trumpeters, and violinists -- to create the eclectic Censored Colors. In 2009 the group released The Satanic Satanist, which became their first record to chart on the Billboard 200. They quickly followed it with the mellower and more electronic American Ghetto, and the band signed with Atlantic Records later in 2010.

Guitarist Noah Gersh joined the lineup for Portugal. The Man's 2011 summer tour, and the group recorded its major-label debut album, In the Mountain in the Cloud, in late 2011. Produced by John Hill and mixed by Andy Wallace, it was released in July of 2012. Around that time, Sleep Forever, a 13-minute short directed by Michael Ragen and shot entirely in Gourley's hometown, premiered on the Independent Film Channel. It would be the last recording for members Sechrist and Neighbors, who were replaced by drummer Kane Ritchotte and keyboardist Kyle O'Quin. Portugal. The Man enlisted Danger Mouse (Brian Burton) as producer for 2013's Evil Friends, which was released in June of 2013. They returned to the studio in 2014 with the Beastie Boys' Mike D for their eighth studio album. The recordings were eventually scrapped, however, and the band emerged in 2017 with fresh material via the self-produced Woodstock. Streatham, South London-born grime artist Dave (aka Santan Dave) may only have been 16 when he entered the grime spotlight, but his conscious lyrical style made him sound well beyond his years. Big Shaq is the comic creation of Michael Dapaah, who created the online mockumentary series Somewhere in London, which featured a range of characters. Inspired by the London grime scene, Big Shaq appeared on various online freestyle videos -- including a spot on Charlie Sloth's Fire in the Booth -- before being referenced by British Labour party leader Jeremy Corbyn in one of his political speeches. Mabel McVey (born February 20, 1996), mononymously known by her stage name Mabel, is a Spanish-born Swedish singer and songwriter based in London. Born in Málaga, Spain and raised in Stockholm, Sweden, she is the daughter of singer and songwriter Neneh Cherry and Massive Attack record producer Cameron McVey. She now mostly lives in London.

Mabel is mostly known for starting her own musical career in 2015 with her debut single entitled "Know Me Better". Croyden, South London-based R&B singer Rachel Keen (aka RAYE) started her career at the age of ten, guided by her father and her guitar teacher. Her interest in music quickly led to small charity gigs and bouts of singing at her local church. Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade (born 19 July 1991), better known by his stage name Mr Eazi, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur. He is the pioneer of Banku Music, a fusion sound he describes as the mixture of "Ghanaian bounces, Ghanaian highlife, Nigerian chord progressions, and Nigerian patterns". During the '90s, Marc Kinchen, known commonly as MK, was one of the most idiosyncratic house producers, tempering his feel for soulful New York-styled garage with the energy of hard techno, learned from time spent working in Detroit at Kevin Saunderson's KMS Studios, while he added his uniquely dubby touch. After he attained significant success in the clubs, he moved toward the mainstream, worked closely with the likes of Will Smith and Pitbull, and eventually returned to the clubs as a sought-after producer, remixer, and DJ within the realm of commercial house music.

Kinchen's first production credit was "First Bass," as part of the group Separate Minds with Terrence Parker. The track was released on the 1989 KMS compilation Techno-1. Kinchen also recorded several singles as MK before he moved to Brooklyn in 1991, formed his own Area 10 Records, and released the single "Burning." The track became a moderate club hit, and led to remixing for the Shamen, Tom Tom Club, the B-52's, D-Influence, and, most notably, the Nightcrawlers, whose "Push the Feeling On" was transformed by his "dub of doom." Soon, Kinchen was one of the hottest figures in house music, and he signed to Charisma for an album deal. Kinchen's full-length debut was 1993's Surrender, credited to MK Featuring Alana (aka Alana Simon) and featuring the singles "Always" and "Love Changes," which became deep house club hits worldwide. Kinchen continued to remix for a motley assortment of artists -- Pet Shop Boys, Opus III, Ethyl Meatplow, Jodeci, and Brandy among them -- and recorded both as himself and 4th Measure Men.

After a lengthy retreat from house music that began in 1996 and entailed a close association with Will Smith, Kinchen easily resumed activity as a producer and remixer of club music, and as a DJ. During the early 2010s, he racked up dozens of remix credits for high-profile pop artists, including Lana Del Rey, Sky Ferreira, and Sam Smith. However, it was his remix of an underground track -- "Look Right Through," by Morgan Geist and Damon Scott's Storm Queen -- that was most successful, as it reached number one on the U.K. pop chart. Around the same time, there was renewed interest in Kinchen's early work, compiled by the Defected label's ITH division as part of its House Masters series. In 2015, Kinchen released "Bring Me to Life" (featuring singer Milly Pye) as the first single from an album he was preparing. Among the remixes was one carried out by Dantiez Saunderson -- the son of Kevin Saunderson. A second single appeared in 2016. Biography

NF is the stage name of rapper and composer Nate Feuerstein from Gladwin, Michigan. Feuerstein endured a hardship-filled childhood in which his parents divorced, his mother's boyfriend physically abused him, and his mother eventually killed herself. Music was his escape, and he began recording songs on a karaoke machine, with instrumentals on one microphone and his raps in the other. Placing second in a nationwide Fine Arts Festival rap competition in 2008, and first in Michigan the following year, he independently released a debut album, Moments, in 2010. The album attracted the attention of Xist Music, which signed him to a recording deal in 2012, by which time Feuerstein had taken on the stage name NF. The label announced the release of an EP that same year, but it never appeared, and NF and Xist parted ways. NF spent the next two years looking for a label and working with local producer Tommee Profitt in his studio; they came up with the song "Wake Up," which convinced Capitol Christian Music Group to sign him. CMG released a six-song (including a Manny Marroquin remix of "Wake Up") self-titled EP late in the summer of 2014. His debut album, Mansion, was released in early 2015 and reached number 62 on the Billboard 200 while topping the Christian Albums chart. The aptly titled Therapy Session followed in 2016 and also topped the Christian Albums chart with its raw emotions and honest lyrics.
