This week’s chart
A sound fifth week at the #1 spot for Enya is just enough to see off Daz and Natasha at #2 and #3. Madonna falls to #4 again, her fourth week in total at that position, and also having spent four weeks at both #2 and #3, but failing to reach the top. There are high new entries for Shayne Ward (#5) and Mary J Blige & Bono with their good new song “One� at #10. The week’s longest runner, Enya’s “Amarantine� regains a place and climbs up to #19. This is now her 25th week in the top 20, if her chart run is anything to go by she will probably be in the top 40 for a whole year! There are lower new entries for Chicane, Deep Dish and Bif Naked, whilst Busta Rhymes just misses out on the top 40.
