Surely Lewis Capaldi will have been approached about recording something... That would bring a lot of publicity to the song/video that I think has been missing the past few years.

agree, if there's something Lewis shouldn't do now is a cover in a Xmas ad
personally it's years since they picked up the right cover my fav is probably Gabrielle Aplin - The power of love but also liked Lily Allen and Ellie's Your Song |

This is the most 2020 thing to happen, so I'm not surprised.
In regards to John Lewis adverts, they're all pretty bland to me. I like the actual adverts though, some of them can be really cute, but the songs are just dull. |
