Super Smash Bros. will be coming to Nintendo Switch this year. No details were offered but the teaser trailer showed Inklings from Splatoon and what looks like the Link from Zelda: Breath Of The Wild – not the one from the Wii U version of Smash Bros.

Whether that means the new game is a full sequel or an enhanced port is unknown, with its name given simply as ‘Super Smash Bros.’.



Can't wait to see the characters, stages, weapons, EVERYTHING available. Possibly my favourite ever game series

I absolutely adore SSB but I don't have a main Nintendo console to play it on so I'll have to wait until a friend gets it.

They also said each character would come with music + their own stage.

Super hyped to get Persona music in Smash, over a year late to it but P5 was one of the best games I played this year, for real.

My copy is coming today *.* Hype. I'm glad the fighters can be £5-something each as well as in a pack, if there's only one or two I'm interested in I'll just get those rather than the whole pack.

Mine is also coming today! (although the Dutch postal office has problems delivering packages on time because of a recent Dutch holiday so I'm not sure it actually will be here today dddd).

It's really fun. Of the previous smashes I only had Melee. It's nice to see that the characters from Melee still have the same attacks, so that it didn't take me that long to get used to.

You start with 8 characters so there's some serious dedication needed to unlock all the characters. You have to win against them to unlock them. It can be frustrating when you lose against a character you really want. I already lost to Bowser, Wii Fit Trainer (wtf is she even doing in a Smash game I almost gagged when I saw that bish up in my screen), Sonic, Ice Climbers, Peach, Lil' Mac, Jigglypuff and Isabelle. All these gay icons kicking my ass .

Been playing loads since I got it last week, what a fantastic game! Love the huge amount of characters, even though I've still got loads to unlock and I'm really excited for the DLC.

I've unlocked all the characters *.* Just a tip, if you reset your game (ie close the app and open again) after each one, you can unlock a new one right away instead of waiting (I believe it's a 10 minute "cool down"). It is hard though beating some of them, I think the levels of the opponent goes up the more you win in a row too.

My faves are:
King K. Rool (SO overpowered, I live - he's heavy and hard-hitting but has good recovery and actually decent speed compared to say Bowser)
Isabelle (the fishing rod is LIT, if you time it right you can absolutely decimate)
Pichu (I know Pikachu is a better version but I prefer his recovery so tend to use him, as Skull Bash can quite easily send you off the edge if you aren't careful)
Inkling (I thought they'd be really gimmicky, but they're super versatile and their combos are potentially devastating once you know them and do it right)
Wii Fit Trainer (purely because I had such shit characters for ages in World Of Light I used her in so many battles)
Daisy (just for the aesthetic, QUEEN I love her)
Bowser (a godsend in some of the harder World Of Light parts, he's hard to launch due to his weight obviously plus he hits hard, his down special *.*)
Shulk (if you get his special right and choose the right "style" at the right time he's super powerful, it's taking me time to learn what to use in what stage against what character though)

I was SO excited to unlock Cloud as well but haven't been that impressed, I didn't have Smash 4 but apparently he was really OP so took a nerf, maybe I need to put some more time into him as I was expecting so much more Similar goes for Bayonetta.

I'm really looking forward to the Joker DLC as his moveset should be really interesting. I know she won't be, but I'm DYING for Shantae to be DLC as well I'll never ask for anything else again God xx

I'm really addicted. I have 60+ hours in it already . Good thing there are holidays now.

I haven't found THE character for me yet. They all have their perks and flaws. I use a lot of characters like Diddy Kong, Bowser Jr. (even though he's supposedly the worst in the tier list), Little Mac (but awful recovery), King Dedede, King K. Rool, Bowser, Incineroar, Jigglypuff, Kirby, Cloud, Marth, Ike, Corrin, Yoshi, Peach, Wario, Sonic, Inkling and Greninja.

Omg ikr, I think I've done 10 or so battles and have only won with Isabelle twice and I think just got lucky spamming the fishing rod on someone who was worse than me

I'm actually not doing too bad now that I'm playing with Yoshi. My smash power is around 1.6 million for now.

With Isabelle and Sonic my smash power had dropped to 49k and 39k .

I'm still pretty addicted to it as well. I keep finding new characters to play. Diddy Kong kinda slays. I looked a few days ago and I already have 120 hours of gameplay.

Played this the other day, what on earth is it They've just mashed a load of characters into one game and then I've got no idea what's happening for most of the game, so much is going on at once!
