If you have a computer but don't have Steam, http://store.steampowered.com/, even if you don't play any games, it's got many games that will run on a potato, is a really convenient way to organise and launch your games (the Spotify of the gaming world considering how much piracy it stopped) and is the first step into the world of PC Gaming. Personally, that's my way to play, nearly all of the good console games are on it and it's so much more flexible a system. But of course, whatever gaming platform you think is best is welcome here.

I have Steam but I only ever really play Football Manager on my laptop

I never really use Steam and only got discord for one thing and never used it again, I need to get back into my laptop for gaming because i have a few games I can actually run I still need to play. After loving Saints Row 4 I need to play 2 and 3 on there for one.

I should get back into Football Manager, I still have 2015 because I don't really care about current rosters but I was consumed by it back then, I haven't quite recaptured the magic.

Yeah Camden got me into it, I love researching about all the countries that were around at the start of the game. I'm only a recent starter though (thought I'd try with Castille as I've heard they are one of the best ones for beginners).

*.* so do I. I'm probably more of an expert on 1444 history than any other period now. Camden sounds like he has good taste what with this and Civ.

I started learning the game with Castile and/or Portugal too! Good place to start, it's quite a unique experience playing there, definitely one of the best ones for beginners although you might have a scary start what with the civil war.
