Justin Bieber topped the UK singles chart with 'Sorry' breaking a chart record for the most tracks inside the top 40. The chart featured eight songs from Bieber's new album Purpose, the first time a living artist had so many simultaneous entries. His eight entries saw him break a record set by Elvis Presley in 1957, when he had seven songs in the top 40 singles chart.

There was an omitted #1 on this occasion and it was from a major artist at the time, and that was Adele with Hello. It was certainly a surprise as all he music had previously featured in the series, but it stopped from this point. There were very few Top 40 omissions, but some others by artists that previously featured in the series included Natalie La Rose, Rita Ora, The 1975, Shaggy, Nero, Tough Love, Taylor Swift and Foxes to name a few. There were many artists from this volume that have yet to make another appearance in the series again, these include R. City, Rachel Platten, Grace, AURURA, Jamie Lawson, KDA, MNEK (as a lead artist), Diplo & Sleepy Tom, Felix Jaehn, Pia Mia, Fetty Wap (as a lead artist), Format:B, WSTRN, Silentó (as a lead artist), Joe Stone, Nick Brewer and KSI. Artwork Rating: 6/10 Good Nothing truly spectacular for this volume, but a good design nonetheless. The ice crystals and snowflakes makes this a perfect design for the winter season of its release. Certainly aesthetically pleasing to the eye, and a well positioned logo in a neutral shade of white gold. Disc 1 Favourite: Calvin Harris feat. Disciples – How Deep Is Your Love This was never my favourite single from Calvin Harris, but it is probably my favourite single which Disciples have put their name to. A great little commercial house tune that was cruelly denied the #1 spot. Certainly a popular song overall in Calvin’s back catalogue. Disc 2 Favourite: Galantis – Peanut Butter Jelly So many great songs on this disc which I love in equal measure, but when push came to shove and I had to pick one, I went for Galantis with one of their best singles. This song probably put them on the dance map as a major artist who would go on to enjoy much more chart success afterward too. The fact Adele was omitted from this volume too was a big talking point at the time. I admit there wasn’t a whole lot that could have changed my score I don’t think. Looking at what else was in and around the Top 40 at the time, there wasn’t much else available to choose from. Also, having a DNC song on this volume always raises eyebrows about that decision, which incidentally the first series credit given to Anne-Marie. Andrew's Best 5 (as of August 2018) 1. Sam Smith – Writing’s On The Wall [this manages to not only be my least favourite Bond song of all time, but is also one of the few songs I despise more than Photograph!] Disc Two 1. G-Eazy – You Don’t Own Me Artwork: 7/10 I struggle to find anything to comment about the Now covers unless they are really great  Overall: 6/10 This is such a strange Now for me. On the one hand, WOW there are some bangers here! Disc Two has some of the most memorable dance songs of recent years for me and - even if there is a fair bit of filler - I do enjoy just about every song on there. Disc One is different because I do love my Top 5 but there's just so much 'meh' on there too. Writings On The Wall and Photograph are such bores... It's also funny how quite a few songs on here only just became hits in late 2015 when they'd been on rotation over here literally months beforehand. Intoxicated, Marvin Gaye, You Don't Own Me, Wasn’t Expecting That, and Fight Song were making waves way earlier in Australia  Wings also but that was a whole 2 years earlier (although I think this only became a hit because of an advert or something, so that's less of a shocker) I especially remember Marvin Gaye and Intoxicated getting old by Easter which was when Fight Song was on the radio a lot. I'm not sure why some of these didn't chart until later on in the year (someone will I'm sure) but I always found that amusing :') Hello, Love Me, Downtown, Alive, Reality, and This Summer are the only omissions I would have liked to make it, but Macklemore & Ryan Lewis had never been on a Now and Adele clearly has enough star power to reject Now. Ocean Drive would have been an amazing non-Top 40 feature too which is a real shame, would have fit perfectly early on Disc Two  As a whole I do enjoy a lot of the songs here but the crappy songs here fully outweigh the decent songs :/

Calvin Harris & Disciples - How Deep Is Your Love 3. Little Mix - Love Me Like You 4. The Vamps - Wake Up 5. Naughty Boy feat. Beyoncé & Arrow Benjamin - Runnin' (Lose It All) Disc 2: 1. Ella Henderson - Glitterball Both those lists look pretty different to what I'd have picked at the time (oops); honestly the bulk of 2015 is the period of music I'm least fond of in the last decade (albeit probably more to do with my life than the actual music, as 2014 and 2016 are 2 of my favourite years), and these are the songs that have held up better. Not to imply they're just by-default picks though; 'Never Forget You' forever sounds fresh and would be a highlight anywhere, I've really come to love 'She's Kinda Hot' over the years, and I recently realised that 'Here For You' (and its ID instrumental) is, to me, Kygo's one original song where he really excelled and lived up to his potential, and probably the reason I continue to have solid expectations from him even though I've only liked... 1.5 of his songs post-2015. I'm probably not qualified to rate a Now considering that I own precisely 1 of them, but I will anyway I'll give it 5/10 for seemingly doing a pretty good job from what was available (bar KSI and Wretch 32's out-of-place inclusions) and that I do at least like a majority of the songs, but I'm not particularly enthused about it.
