During an interview with Nick Grimshaw on BBC Radio 1 this morning, Rita Ora announced that her new single will be 'I Will Never Let You Down' and is produced by Calvin Harris! |

Let's hope she sings the chorus on this blatant dance song. Hello Sia

I love Rita anyway but a Calvin produced track??? This can't go wrong.

The two people responsible for some of the most basic, generic music that's polluted the charts in recent years joining forces. Joy.

'ORA' should have been amazing, but it's a shit album. She needs to come back with something incredible but I doubt that'll happen.

I hope she can pull this off, Calvin's been on a roll and if she can have some really nice vocals the track will be perfection.

Am I the only one that thinks most recent Calvin Harris Tracks are pretty soulless and bland? Rita Ora is definitely not going to make it any better.

Dreading this, everything else she did was absolutely dreadful barring 'Hot Right Now' which wasn't even her song.
She was easily the worst thing to happen to music in years. *edit - although if I'm going to contribute something worthwhile to the dicussion I just saw a tweet from Calvin Harris and he says it's apparently "not EDM". This post has been edited by Silver Rocket: 30th January 2014, 06:47 PM |

No doubts she has underperformed despite a LOT of promo. The same could be said for Jessie J but on an even bigger scale.
But one great song and a massive hit could change that... Not holding my breath though.... |

I hope she is different to Jessie & Pixie in the sense that this actually leads into an era which I like. Jessie & Pixie didn't really progress from their debuts, well Jessie nearly did with 'Wild', but went to the basic stuff straight after with 'It's My Party' and 'Thunder'. But I'm not confident in this, apart from the fact I'm probably only gonna love it for a week and then, bleh.
I'd love to be proven wrong though! I liked a fair bit of 'ORA' <3 |

'Thunder' is such a cut above everything else from Jessie this era, the rest of it is basically a shambles.

There definitely is some form of progression from Jessie. 'Who You Are' was a bit all over the place with only the singles standing out (but even then one or two of them were a bit pathetic). 'Alive' sticks a lot more and she actually has a genuine message to communicate. A lot stronger on the whole as well.
