May I take this weekly opportunity to say thank you to the following 9 people who viewed and commented on my personal chart last week: Road Salt Mixer, James Frost ☃️, Sven10, Sergej, dancemberlexa, Sleighk ☃️, M4ngo Ho Ho, Klumpus and Slade. Responses to your comments are in the below post. Last week a poll was run to see who might be guessed as the artist to acquire the prestigious #1 spot on this day, and many different ideas were put forward, but nobody correctly guessed the artist that has indeed achieved this accolade! Becky Hill is officially this weeks #1 after an impressive climb last week up to #2. She has had a great year as an artist releasing some big songs with the likes of Shift K3Y, Tiλsto, Sigala and Netsky, not to mention her solo single Space which is this weeks #1 single! Becky will show up again in this weeks chart too as a new entry. With Becky taking the Christmas #1, it has meant a slight drop for Regardless which falls to #3 meaning former #1 Shane Codd can climb a place this week. No position change for Steps or Tiλsto though. The highest new entry this week comes from Liam Gallagher. It is quite rare for a ballad to enter the Top 40 Countdown, but on this festive week All Youre Dreaming Of started to resonate with me and it has achieved Top 10 success and has comfortably become my final Track of The Week for 2020. Just behind is another new entry from Steps with another party anthem Something In Your Eyes. Dua Lipa re-enters the Top 10 with Levitating. Further new entries this week from Nathan Dawe, Becky Hill, VOOST and LadBaby have all made an appearance on the Christmas charts, along with a re-entry for Diplo & SIDEPIECE. Up seven places this week is Prisoner which is crowned the biggest climber for this week, and is one of 14 tracks to climb this week. But of the 17 tracks that have fallen this week, the biggest faller was MEDUZA who drop 17 places in a single week. The Top 40 Countdown bids farewell to the following artists who have dropped out of the chart this week; John Summit & Guz, Route 94, Purple Disco Machine, PAX & Gorgon City, PBH & Jack, Torren Foot and MK. This completes the final chart for 2020, see you in 2021! Thank you for stopping by to take a look at my personal chart this week. Comments are welcomed of course, and I hope I can make time to take a look at your personal charts also both for future inspiration and to acknowledge your hard work at putting it together too! "

I have been listening more to Tiesto's The Business recently given that it seems likely to be a hit in the UK in the new year. I do like it but I think it is missing something with the production, like its a bit basic. Hi Snake! The Solardo remix of Becky Hill's Space is my favourite version of that song, I like how it sounds a bit early 00s progressive house like Deepest Blue or Deep Dish. Love Not War (The Tampa Beat) has great production, it is so bouncy and its been disappointing that it hasn't done so well in the UK chart so far. I much prefer it to Savage Love. Have you tried the 220 Kid remix of The Business? That changes the production up a fair bit. Yes the Solardo remix is probably my favourite remix of the Space remixes. I reckon Love Not War will impact in January, so keep an eye out for it in the charts! Thank you for your comment! Hey Wardy! Hi James! Regardless, slaying! a bop. Space I'm so happy to see it get some appreciation here! It's so underrated it boggles my mind. Get Out My Head. Gosh it's had such a great start here compared to entering my chart in just inside the top 20 pop. Levitating with that fall *. Jeezo. Gold rising a wee bit yass. Such a bop. No other word to describe it My Head & My Heart climbing *. This is another song that's gonna enter late on my chart eep. I'm so.haply Sweet Melody got another week here why though after the bomb performance it's had 👍 Super chart! Regardless is some of the best pop around at the moment! May it please smash in January! How does it feel seeing Becky as my Christmas #1? Shane Codd will be around a while in my chart I feel. Thank you for your comment! Hi Awa, Hi Sven! Nice number one Shane Codd and Tiλsto still Top 5 Prisoner entering Happy Holiday !!! Glad you are liking whats at the top of my chart right now! Hopefully all those songs can do well in early 2021! Thank you for your comment! Hi Wardy! Hi Sergej! Nice to see "Regardless" still at #1, very surprised to see "Space" having a huge gain, for me it's her biggest solo song yet! I also like the debuts for "Prisoner" and "911"! Great chart! Space certainly did gain on my chart, and now it is a Christmas chart-topper! Glad youre enjoying Prisoner and 911 too. Thank you for your comment! Hi! great to see Eric Prydz and CamelPhat still gaining in your top 10. Hi Dan! I'm gonna predict that Regardless will stick at #1 next week as it seems to be having a very stable chart run so far. It may even manage to make my own top 40 after Christmas. Wasn't a fan of that Steps song sadly, I did like a fair bit of their earlier stuff when I was a young kid but not so much now. Prisoner and 911 are great new entries however! CamelPhat still going strong on Christmas week but a slight drop for Eric Prydz sadly, and I dont know if it will re-enter the Top 10 again unfortunately. Im afraid your prediction that Regardless would still be #1 this week was incorrect, but it is a contender to regain the top spot again in the new year. I have enjoyed Steps for ages and it was only a matter of time before I charted their new material. Thank you for your comment! Hi awardinary - these are my faves from your chart! Hi Sleighk! I am surprised that Steps have only just charted! Nice to see a new entry from Miley & Dua/ newne.png 4. Steps What The Future Holds [4->1] HIGHEST NEW ENTRY newdown.png 10. Jax Jones & Au/Ra i miss u [5-4-4-10->4] newdown.png 11. Dua Lipa feat. DaBaby Levitating [6-5-3-11->4] newup.png 18. Paloma Faith Gold [20-18->2] newne.png 27. Miley Cyrus feat. Dua Lipa Prisoner [27->1] newright.png 36. Harry Styles Golden [32-36-36->3] newright.png 38. Little Mix Sweet Melody [17-31-38-38->4] Steps would have charted sooner had I restarted my personal chart earlier this year! Thank you for your comment! Hey Wardy! Hi Mango! Great to see Becky climbing to number two, it's easily my favourite thing she's done Nice new entries, even if Steps and Gaga are a tad old by this point, that's such a great lead single for Steps. 911 is alright though I feel there were better choices of single from the album (I'm still rooting for Fun Tonight). Prisoner is nothing special but decent enough! Love the subtitle too! Happy Xmas Becky is easily my most favourite artist of the year and I really look forward to her new music next year too! I do like the songs from Steps and Lady Gaga and they charted late for me due to a late restart for my personal chart. I think Sour Candy could appear in my chart in the future too! Thank you for your comment! Hey Wardy! Hi Klumzee! 1. RAYE & Rudimental Regardless [4-2-1-1->4] newup.png 2. Becky Hill Space [20-16-11-2->4] BIGGEST CLIMBER newdown.png 3. Harry Styles Golden [32-36-36->3] newright.png 38. Little Mix Sweet Melody [17-31-38-38->4] newdown.png 40. Torren Foot feat. Tinie Tempah & L Devine More Life [32-33-37-40->4] nice chart! and thank you for replying to mine! As I only restarted my personal chart again recently some songs are charting late. Thanks for the love for Jason Derulo and also Purple Disco Machine. Thank you for your comment! Hey there Wardy Hi Jade! Loving the new entries for Miley/Dua and Lady Gaga! I was lucky enough to see Miley live in 2009 and should be seeing both Dua and Gaga next year for the first time, well it should've been this year, but yeah Any reason why '911' is only entering now - was it just organic growing power? The video helped it click for me! Great chart Amazing to hear you are going to see Dua Lipa and Lady Gaga next year, I hope you have an amazing time. 911 has had a bit of play recently and I decided it was the right time for me to chart it as it didnt hit me immediately. Thank you for your comment! |

Hey Wardy
Yass at Space nabbing the #1. What a bop to get it as well Get Out My Head back up to #2 yay! It's fantastic and hopefully we can see it climb again once all the Xmas songs leave the official chart! Regardless The Consistency for What The Future Holds so far at least. It's a right stomper! Levitating climbing again yay! It's free on me so much that it repeaked in the top 5 for me Something In Your Eyes It flew out my chart after a great start, but honestly, it's probably my favourite thing Steps have ever released. Gold peaking I'm so happy to see it still climbing here! I'd love to comment some more, but I have to get ready for work. Great chart though x |
