Chromatica is out everywhere now and I feel like this record will be Lady Gaga’s Purpose (Justin Bieber) in terms of the commercial success it will get; so take that as you will.

I wouldn't be that sure, she's serving her fans not the GP at all

take Sour Candy, I do like Gaga when she writes good songs, but this is like random disjoint pieces put together,
with no melody, too weird vocals and most importantly no chorus, if the Gaga stans love it, good for them,
but cannot see the GP loving this... and same for the album, it caters her Little Monsters
not even random music fans that don't mind Gaga

If we always compared artists to their past work, music would never evolve. She had HUMONGOUS choruses in the A Star is Born soundtrack literally 2 years ago. This album is a complete change of place and evolution for her, still with choruses but not like she was known for 10 years ago.

I can't wait to see which tracks the GP gravitate towards most!

I think the GP will most be into Alice and Sine From Above from the unreleased tracks. First album track and the big name collab usually are the most successful.

'Sour Candy' isn't the best example of the album, to be fair.

I'd actually say that's by FAR the worst track on it.
