I love the autotuned parts.
This song is as if Bruno, Daft Punk, Mark Ronson and Pharrell made a supergroup. I'm even hearing a bit of TLC 'Ain't 2 Proud 2 Beg' in there too. |

I already start to like it more. I don't even think it sounds like 'Uptown Funk'? This is much more 80s/early 90s than the retro sound of UF.

Yeah I agree.
Musically it's not that similar to 'Uptown Funk' at all. I think it is mainly the vocal delivery of the kind of half-talked quotable verses. |

Yeah not seeing how people think it's "a direct copy" of 'Uptown Funk' I definitely agree with the 'Signs' comparisons a lot more (mixed in to the rhythm of 'Downtown')
Smash hit though. I reckon this will be just as big as UF in all honesty. |

I'm not much of a Bruno fan really but this is decent, I agree with Joe that it reminds me of a cross between Uptown Funk and Downtown (although I wouldn't say it's a retread or a copycat of either of those). Feel like it will get ruined by overplay but right now it's pretty enjoyable.

Yeah, I get more of a Downtown feel from it but with more of a definite structure. Really liking this after 2 listens, I'm sure it'll get somewhat old but for now, it's a catchy retro singalong jam.

I'm loving it. I'm glad it isn't just a rehash of one (or all) of his biggest hits and feels more like a progression. I don't know whether the music video is supposed to be tongue-in-cheek though.

I loooove the retro disco production on this! It feels like an actual proper throwback.
The chorus is very weak though, but I'm sure that'll grow. Above all, I'm just glad it's not a ballad filled with bad chat up lines. |

This is like "Uptown Funk" and "Downtown" had a baby mixed with a little tinge of Prince maybe? I kinda got Prince vibes from this.

I can't stand the auto-tuned start.. it's not something I'd listen to but I can see it being a big hit, not as big as Uptown Funk though...

This is pretty crap IMO. Get he's going for a retro sound yet again but it just sounds far too tacky and generic. His first era was outstanding everything since had been varying degrees of tolerable to terrible.
