Khaled, Tiller and Rihanna top the list this week in Wild Thoughts’s fourth week and third running in the top 5. Inna and The XX are close in contention, while last week’s topper by Jax Jones and Demi takes this week’s silver. HAIM, BLACKPINK, DeJ Loaf and Bear’s Den also ascend into this week’s top 10; DeJ Loaf’s debut, BLACKPINK’s second, HAIM’s third running and Bear’s Den’s fourth running, interestingly enough. Wild Thoughts is all artists involved’s first chart topper since I started these last year.

Lots of new entries this week along with HAIM’s; Clean Marina, another from Lorde, Smallpools, Katy Perry, Meadowlark, Tonight Alive, TLC, Estelle, Galantis, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Dragonette, Kiesza, Sigrid, Audien, CAZZETTE and Rae Sremmurd all have new entries this week. There's also a re-entry and re-peak for Smalltown DJs and Lisa Lobsinger.

Those will be getting individual video links and a bit of commentary later on in the week, so check back and that’ll save you having to search them out individually, I’ll update the thread title accordingly when those are done.
For now, the top 40 for this third week of July:

01 DJ Khaled ft. Rihanna + Bryson Tiller - Wild Thoughts [14-5-2-1]
02 Jax Jones ft. Demi Lovato + Stefflon Don - Instruction [33-6-1-2]

Heya Jupiter, here are my favourite songs of the week dance.gif

01 DJ Khaled ft. Rihanna + Bryson Tiller - Wild Thoughts [14-5-2-1]
02 Jax Jones ft. Demi Lovato + Stefflon Don - Instruction [33-6-1-2]
15 Clean Bandit ft. Marina and the Diamonds - Disconnect [N]
23 Katy Perry ft. Nicki Minaj - Swish Swish [N]

I am loving your new #1, it is an awesome track. Your number is so good too!

The new Clean Bandit track is so good and it is decent output for Marina after Froots was a bit hit and miss for me.

Yesss for Swish Swish entering!

Hi Jupiter!

Nice to see Ruleta climbing - a great dance song!

Great to see Disconnect enter - I much prefer it to Symphony!

Have you listened to anything more from Young Summer? I love her album Siren even more than her newer stuff.

YAY for Lorde and Haim entering - I've bought Haim's album but haven't checked it out yet, have you?

Young Summer is awesome, she has two top tens for me already biggrin.gif

HAIM's album is really incredibly solid, I shouldn'tve worried about it. I've not listened to it that much but I can see myself liking all of the tracks at some point for sure. Definitely give it a spin!

Khaled and co take the top spot this week in my personals at the same time as in the official chart, coincidence? I think not. Rihanna continues to rise up in my estimations with another band on-trend tune; Queen of Relevance.

New entries this week:

Latest single from HAIM and their third running top 10 for me, 3 for 3 from their new album. I get slight K-Pop girlgroup vibes from the instrumentation and structure of this one, it's very retro inspired.

Clean Bandit's latest top 20 for me following Rockabye and Symphony. Already for me this is a big step up from Symphony... although I think a lot of that's with the time of year they chose to release it. Good to hear Marina doing something a little different.

A tune that sounds a lot better in the summer than when it first came out last winter. Was pleasantly surprised to see Kiesza keeping on after what seemed at first to be a flash in the pan career based around Hideaway.

Despite being an earlier IG, impacts a little late for me after being lapped by Sober in album release week. Perfect Places has picked up a second wind for me since and becomes Lorde's third top 20 from her latest album, already equalling the number of tracks I liked off her debut. (sorry Lorde!)

A good comeback tune from TLC and already a fan fave from their album. Their singles record this year has been odd, giving the impression their new album would be a throwback but then actually including some modern tunes too. This is their first charter for me of their new material.

Second charter for Sigrid down at the bottom this week after Plot Twist. Still not mad on the original DKMV, but Gryffin works some magic here.

And more EDM with Audien. I thought this was a new tune, not a year old, but it works well enough in 2017 as it did last year I think.

Second charter surprisingly for Meadowlark after appearing on a collab with Prides earlier this year. I had thought them to be a one-hit wonder act but turns out they're a new band just getting started, so this might turn into a string of entries.

I still dislike this a lot as a Katy Perry song, it's a huge step down for her, but it's not so bad as a generic song. I'm still a little embarrassed for Katy at how much better Nicki is on this beat than her.

Rae Sremmurd just squeak in this week after a few weeks just beyond the cutoff. This song's not bad, but not as hooky as some of their others. A big US hit, surprisingly enough.

Surprisingly enough, Estelle is back, again. Who knew?

Much better than the original mix of this song.

Good to see Jones branching out. This gives her a 4th chart hit for me. She released an album last year which I'd highly recommend checking out, New Skin.

Another cut from Dragonette's latest album.

Another cut from Sophie's surprisingly solid latest album Familia, which sees her dipping back into pop through a more indie approach. It's her third charter from that album, following the Franz Ferdinand-inspired Come With Us and the sparkling Wild Forever, a top 10 on my personals earlier this year.

Almost-emo throwback, very vintage Paramore, fitting in the year that Paramore have gone full pop. This plugs a gap.

And finally for this week, one of my most favourite songs to've been recently released, and the track that will go forward to represent Jupiterdonia at the upcoming BJSC 97 where I hope to see my first Q appearance. Hope enough of you like it as much as I do!

And that's the week! Thank you everyone for comments, it's great hearing your thoughts biggrin.gif
