The beginning/first verse really reminds me of another song but I just can’t put my finger on it

Hmm.. it's very Zayn meets an Imagine Dragons style chorus.
I think I like it, but 'Want You Back' is so smooth. Not sure I like this drastic switch in sound though. They're just starting to sound like most other acts now. But I get the change.

They performed it on The Voice this week too so it might have another week on top
edit: Checking charts now too, it's got a huge iTunes lead (#2 at 0.32) and is #1 Spotify (but "only" 20k in front of Post Malone)

Unless a big single comes out, I can see them holding that top spot for quite a while. Long way away, but the potential for longest running Australian song at #1 (10 weeks) is not without possibility.

It's surprising how well this is doing in Australia, though Want You Beck only got to #32 over there.

I reckon Want You Back could have done better if it was added straight away to Hot Hits Australia, it just barely missed the Spotify top 50 but with better timing it could have had a better peak and maybe hung around a little longer. Incidentally now its sales are doing better but it's dead on streaming so it can't even re-enter the top 100.

Youngblood is such a banger *.* I didn't think much of Want U Back so didn't bother with this but it might be my 5SOS fave already over She Looks So Perfect, SO good 
It's amazing how well it's done in Aus, first local act at #1 since The Veronicas with In My Blood nearly 2 years ago I believe

Listening to the album now and actually surprised at how good it is.
I've never really been a 5SOS fan at all, however really love Youngblood (the song) so thought i'd see about the album and its really strong.
May go and have a listen to some of their earlier stuff which I've dismissed

I'm surprised by the album too! Some really good pop, I think it's maybe a few tracks too long but it's a really cohesive listen with a good few earworms, I'm impressed! Along with ofc the title track, Valentine is probably the best song. The drop in Meet You There tho *.*

Really liking the remix of this. The chorus really does sound quite familiar to another song. I’m thinking ‘1996’ by Ella Henderson.
