I actually think it's quite a good release date! Although it wouldn't be falling, I imagine 'Senorita' would have peaked by that point and won't overshadow this too much!

SO excited to hear it. Would love some more reggaeton from her. Not an exact copy of 'Havana' but like a growth of it. I feel like this next era will really help her become top tier pop artist.

Camila was honestly such a great debit album, I have high hopes for this! I always get scared for my fave pop girlies releasing new songs chart wise though I've got a feeling it could easily go the other way in terms of success.

If the Latin song is entirely Spanish then the other one will probably get the UK push but if it’s Latin inspired like Havana and Senorita then maybes that will get the push.

Hope she comes back hard though. She’s got so much star quality about her.

She confirmed that "Shameless" will be out tomorrow at 8am. ET / 1pm. BST, so I assume this is going to be the song to be pushed as a single, while "Liar" is going to be a promotional, unless plans are changed, of course.

Oh these are both excellent! I was worried one would be head and shoulders above the other but both are on par with other and neither are carbon copies of her previous songs. Very impressed!

Liar goes OFF, it's got flecks of the debut era so that it feels like her but it's a progression as well so it's not just a carbon copy resting on what worked before. Shameless I think is more of a grower but I like it a fair bit on first listen anyway!

Either one is a great choice of single, both commercial enough but they're a bit different to what's in the charts.

Shameless isn’t very good, her voice really grates on me and the song itself isn’t very memorable but it will no doubt be a worldwide smash. I prefer Liar but that’s not very good either.

I wasn't paying enough attention on first listen, so I felt kinda underwhelmed with them both. However, listening to them and giving them my full undivided attention through my headphones, I really like them both.

Shameless is my fave of the 2 I think. The production is stellar!! It low-key reminds me of Lovestoned by Justin Timberlake! Especially the strumming sorta sound.

The chorus to Liar gives me Ace of Base in 2019 vibes! Kinda Clean Bandit-y too!

Really love the both of them! Shameless gives me a musical continuation of NBTS, whilst Liar gives me more She Loves Control than anything else. Can see either being hits for her honestly

On first listen I really like ‘Liar’, can already feel the chorus getting stuck in my head. ‘Shameless’ I’m unsure about, will need more listens to fully decide, think there might be too much going on. Overall not what I was expecting but really good. Also I think she pulls off the double single release really well, I’ve never liked it when other artist do it.

I caught the Ace Of Base sample in Liar but was completely taken aback by the Lionel Richie one!

Both tracks are good, I think on first listen I prefer Shameless but we’ll see what ends up happening. Can’t both songs just be pushed?

On first listen I much prefer Liar to Shameless. I like the latter, I'm sure it'll grow on me more. Liar is so much more instant though, love at first listen! The samples... so catchy!

Ooh I like 'Shameless' quite a bit xx (her vox on the chorus are a little overboard but I was already getting used to that by the end of the song lol ~ I am a fan of everything else in it, really loving the dark sounding production).

'Liar' is k too but not really one I am desperate to go back to. 'Shameless' to be ha hit pls

I prefer Liar over Shameless personally . Liar feels more like her where as on Shameless her voice grates quite a bit on me and it almost feels like she’s trying to sing like someone else

Camila is pretty solid at her solo artist videos!

She’s very captivating and a pretty good actress too.

I can totally see her getting film roles in the future she’s perfect for a chick flick / romantic comedy type role.

That's fine - Liar is her highest debut as a lead. Senorita is the only song as a solo artist that's debuted higher (and quite frankly, it will easily remain the bigger hit anyway, plus the name power). She Loves Control is her only other top 40 debut weirdly!

I think she might’ve had a top 25 debut had there just been one release last week.

I definitely don’t think Liar will keep its #38 peak though I can see it taking off.

It's not tragic and I think that's a massive overreaction - bear in mind that radio are splitting their attention between two songs instead of spamming the one. I think pushing two singles at radio is a bold move - not even Ed Sheeran did that in the US with Shape / Castle.

Also worth noting Post Malone likely has about 10-12 album tacks above that so they would've both made top 50 without that. Liar also didn't have really any video streams count this week so it should hold up ok next week.

I don’t think it’s too bad tbh it’s unlikely that’ll be the tracks peak (well in Liars case).

Liar is #21 in the UK

It’s climbed a few places for four weeks in a row now when we get our G Norton performance of this it should hopefully push it top 20.

It’s climb this week seems to be helped that a lot of songs above it all fell to ACR on the same week there’s a lot of big drops this week of top 10/20 songs last week.
