Very familiar with Hushkanukia, Singerpurear, Fljótavík and Bøtanikkä's entries already but all very good tunes! A few others I recognise here too, fortunately plenty I don't know as well which I'm looking forward to hearing!

Think there are 4 songs I already know from my semi and 5 or 6 in the opposite semi, and it's a bit of a mixed bag quality wise among that bunch to say the least xx Jade already recommended the WILDES song to me a few weeks ago and it's already been a hit on my personal chart so early Jadakissnia hype 
aside from that I already know I like Jupiterdonia, United States of Jack (an unexpected bop x) and Lotunia at least!
Persephonia alumnus Kidnap Kid returning as an auto-qualifier (now with the Kid dropped x) *.*
Thinking this looks like a pretty nice draw for my song, in direct competition straight away with the other piano instrumental oh my ~
I have completed a nice full circle as the first word of the title of my first entry was 'Ghosts' and now the last word of the title of my 101st entry is also 'Ghosts' (with no other ghost related entries in the mean time). Tartford joining me with the near-obligatory ghost entry representation xx

I think there are a fair few entries this month that aren't on Spotify, although Rolloland's entry will make up for the reduced length due to missing songs

Goliath is a huge song and my favourite track around at the moment (I didn’t even try to confirm it, it was obvious someone would have got it already). Hendinia are not messing around this year.
Bla Bla Bla was a personal chart #1 for me in 2000 *.*
Also some big Eurovision national final faves in here which I both expected to see, and will do very well.
Also, Therapist <3 saw Mae live the other week and she was amazing.
I know so many of these this month but hoping to make some good discoveries too!

I maybe could have used you being one song earlier on random.org as I found while searching the site for my artists that you had a different song by the same 2 artists I sent on one of your old CD Swaps
x(it was one of the songs your reviewer liked the least from it though which is a greatly encouraging sign
but it sounds like it was a fairly different sounding song ~)

I'm not going to be able to host plug sessions for the semis (don't know if I'll even be able to attend any that are after today) so if someone else could step in to host that'd be good :3 x (I'll get my YouTube playlists posted shortly, will be in the third post of this thread x)
re: Schitt's Creek there are like 6 BJSC participants who have ever posted about it, is it really that popular xx I've never heard of it before this song being entered (although tbf I've never heard of like any current TV show so I'm not the best arbiter of that).

In terms of the site, I'd say it's not really any different to entering a Eurovision NF reject in terms of a handful of people knowing it prior. And rightfully those cases don't usually mean a veto either!

I also wasn't aware before this song being entered that 'The Kelly Clarkson Show' was a thing that existed lol that was taken into account though, I knew the thread for the song was bumped into the pop forum the other day (after receiving 0 replies when it was originally posted a year ago) but again there weren't many BJSC participants / people in general who posted about it (the main person who seems to be stanning it is tommie which doesn't give me great hope the song will be any good ) The Kelly Clarkson Show performance has 930k views in 4 weeks and the original video has 325k in 11 months, calling that 'going viral' seems like a slight stretch!
It got a few veto points for media exposure but yeah I basically agree with what Liam just said. Actually the Eurovision rejects this month are both skirting the veto a lot more imo as they were both pretty hyped by the standards of Albania / Italy Eurovision rejects lol ~

listening to my semi now and it turns out 'Driver's Seat' is a song I'm quite familiar with already thanks to Radio 2 spot plays over the years but just didn't know who did it, surprised to find that it only reached #42 back in its day.
and I'd be happy for Aeroche to win again tbh.

Voted in Semi 1, which is decent enough but Semi 2 is incredible, I wish I could vote in that too - 15 songs I LOVE in there including four 9.5 or 10/10s (usually I'm lucky to have one of these per entire contest), hope as many of those as possible progress to the final! What a bloodbath that will be

well semi 1 is quite the mixed bag of genres, well done everyone! Sadly I cant vote for all of them. Already knew Eleni, In Your Arms (yay Jocelyn Brown & Al Stewart), Amnesia, and the Marina K track stands out on first listen as one to play again asap. So just repeat plays and shuffling orders to sort.
semi 2 I know 3 of the acts - but none of the songs! So that should be interesting..

Well actually stratch that folks. PlugDj is actually down in terms of youtube import right now, and most of these songs aren't on soundcloud I believe.
(unless anyone has had the foresight to already make a plugdj playlist for either the semi or all the songs - issue is that you can't create or import playlists right now)
