Hi, just popping in with a thread idea! Obviously the chart turnover has sped up loads recently, and songs don't tend to stick around in the top 10 for all that long anymore. So I was wondering, how long do we reckon the current top 10 inhabitants will stick around in the top 10 for? There are a few tracks that'll probs have some decent longevity - like the ZAYN and Sia song which I think will be BIG (until it hits ACR on Week 10), but in terms of Sam Smith I can't see him lasting long.
My predictions: Sam Smith - 7 weeks Taylor Swift (Look) - 8 weeks ZAYN & Sia - 12 weeks James Hype - 5 weeks P!nk - 9 weeks J Balvin - 7 weeks What do we think? |

7 weeks in the top 10 used to be considered a solid big hit haha how times have changed.

Can't see Sam Smith lasting that long tbh! He's already decreasing on iTunes and it's only a matter of time before he's replaced by the next big release on major playlist payola so I think he'll slip down soon enough.

He's hardly decreasing lots though. He's very stable. His album comes out soon too which will give it another boost! |
