BuzzJack Music Forum _ News and Politics _ US Election 2016 Poll

well it's happening in exactly a month so we may as well see who's voting for what now.

Hillary Clinton and I don't live in the US. She's not perfect but she ain't Donald Trump either.

Posted by: princess_lotita 8th October 2016, 05:52 PM

Hillary!

Posted by: dhwe 8th October 2016, 05:58 PM

hillz. not a stan but living in a battleground state (pennsylvania) means there are more things at stake. also the third party candidates basically have no profile and johnson's a fool

Posted by: Joe. 8th October 2016, 06:02 PM

Hillary, it's a two man/woman race. Trump is vile and dangerous and has to be stopped.

I daresay that this reference has gone over my head. What does "to bottom" mean?

Posted by: Taylor Jago 8th October 2016, 08:37 PM

Hilary may not be the best president, but Trump has to be stopped. He just has to be.

Posted by: Silas 8th October 2016, 08:51 PM

Just so we're clear. I will personally add 100% to the warning level of anyone who indicates they will support trump regardless of what side of the Atlantic they are on.

Posted by: Qween 8th October 2016, 08:55 PM

Hillary OBV. It would be entirely on merit, even aside from Trump being the worst candidate in living memory (possibly ever)

Posted by: 24k Cody 8th October 2016, 09:00 PM

Anyone who votes for Trump is a disgrace to anything with cells, living or dead, and they need to be extinct IMMEDIATELY. Hillary all the way.

Posted by: Doctor Blind 8th October 2016, 09:03 PM

Hillary.

When the world goes to shit, it takes a woman to clear up the mess.

Posted by: Chez Wombat 8th October 2016, 09:03 PM

Trump ofc. Let's make America great again, send those immigrants home and put women back in the kitchen!!!

Posted by: Jade 8th October 2016, 09:05 PM

Hillary

Trump as president would be a disgrace.

Posted by: Chez Wombat 8th October 2016, 09:05 PM

(yeah that was a joke, Hilary all the way, I don't like her THAT much, but anyone that doesn't realise she's clearly the most suitable here is deluding themselves. There is not a single credible reason that Trump would make a good president.)

Posted by: Brett-Butler 8th October 2016, 09:16 PM

Well, I've learned something today.

totally convinced.

Up until the point Hillary has been impressing me more and more each time I see more of her and we get this loon wading in with his big mouth against her... I've been having a fun year of conversations and wall jokes about how awful he is.

Posted by: Bré 8th October 2016, 10:45 PM

I think Jill Stein is the only candidate who I'd consider voting for if this were the UK tbh but obviously Hillary since she's the only one who has a chance of winning and isn't totally monstrous lol ~

(it's interesting that the only people who seem to be fully behind Hillary on her own merits and not because 'she's not Trump' are people who do not live in the USA)

That's not really the case. There's plenty of people here who'd vote for her no matter what, but I'm sure at least half are just afraid of Trump as you'd expect. I do feel she's more than qualified but I admit it's the threat of Donald Trump that made my decision easy.

I meant on BuzzJack tongue.gif I guess that wasn't clear from my post though. (and the sample size of actual Americans on BuzzJack is obviously very small)

Posted by: Joe. 9th October 2016, 01:33 AM

It goes to show the impression America has on the world and UK. Trump in power would leave a hugely negative dent on so many countries. It's not like someone like Putin who's equally as vile but just doesn't have a huge amount of power over the UK compared to the US.

Posted by: Qassändra 9th October 2016, 11:35 AM

Non-Americans also have the benefit of not being exposed day-in-day-out to a media at a point with Hillary where they'll publish unproven rumours of scandal with the disclaimer "The allegations have yet to be confirmed, but this will only add to the general sense of untrustworthiness around Hillary Clinton", which is about as close as you can get to a get-out-of-jail-free card for libel as possible.

If I lived in a state where the outcome was beyond any doubt, I might be tempted to vote for Jill Stein. Otherwise I wouldn't want to risk unintentionally helping Trump.

But according to Trump, the entire media are cheerleaders for Clinton. Are you suggesting he's lying?

You don't get warnings for just having a different opinion.

If I lived in a state where the outcome was beyond any doubt, I might be tempted to vote for Jill Stein. Otherwise I wouldn't want to risk unintentionally helping Drumpf.

There was a brief point in 2012 where it looked like Obama might win with fewer votes, and Trump of all people advocated marching on the White House in protest at this affront to democracy (let's ignore that it's happened multiple times in history and as recently as 2000) - so to anyone tempted to do this I'd warn against it on the basis that winning the popular vote has a tiny chance of making a difference.

And that Jill Stein is an anti-vaccination manifestation of everything that's wrong with green politics this side of Natalie "Carpetbagger" Bennett, but that's neither here nor there.

Posted by: Silas 10th October 2016, 08:43 PM

Jill Stein is anti-vax? So there is someone worse than Trump running for president after all!

Hilary Clinton for president please.

I remember back in high school that someone thought rapper Lil Bow Wow was running for president not Obama. He actually believed it.

The point is that you do not want an idiotic conspiracy theorist in charge of the world's most powerful country. Even if she doesn't intend to get rid of vaccines, the fact that she probably would if she thought she could get away with it should be enough reason to vote for someone else.

I'm generally kind of embarrassed for anyone considering voting for anyone except Hillary. Trump is Trump and both of the noteworthy third party candidates are shockingly incompetent. Jill Stein, beyond her hatred of vaccines, has called Hillary worse than Trump, aired an ad in which she pretends to debate with Hillary and Donald from their actual, real-life debate, and has called for the US to transition to a war-time economy in the present moment, in which there is... no actual war ongoing. Most of this stuff can be found just by checking Google News for her. Gary Johnson is just perpetually high and that's enough to assess him.

Honestly it's hard to believe such a dire group of candidates could all have assembled at the same time. It's a miracle that the democratic candidate is competent and it's shameful that there's any sort of contest.
