 Are people not able to view the Lounge as a guest anymore? |

I wasn't quite sure where to put this but it seems fair enough to ask here. I'm really quite curious about this. A couple of days ago, I wanted to check something in the Lounge quickly without bothering to log in, but the Lounge had "disappeared" from view. To be honest, I thought it was hilarious at first cos I thought maybe the whole Lounge had disappeared oops, but then when I logged in, it was there. It's been like that ever since on both my laptop and phone.
Just wondering... Maybe it has already been explained somewhere, my apologies if it has. |

We're giving it a trial run at the moment, it's an incentive to join up! There are no google ads in there so we're not losing any revenue from guests either, makes sense to try it on The Lounge!

Also, if there's anywhere on the board where people have posted personal information and potentially identifiable doxxing information, it's the Lounge. Obviously anything anyone posts on here to that effect is done at your own risk, but it should be a benefit for everyone as it means the Lounge can't be indexed by search engines and random guests will have to sign up to read what's posted there. Similar justification for why guests can't read member profiles.
As Joseph says, a natural fit because of the lack of ads and if we encourage sign-ups because of it, all the better. |

Ah, I noticed this too and was wondering if it was something to do with the rate, as it seemed to happen right when the rate was finishing. Thanks Mattias for asking! I'll admit it's a tad inconvenient for me as I often browse without being logged in, but that's just because I'm used to it; it's a totally logical decision. Unexpected though to suddenly happen after all this time it had been public!

Yeah I think when I first discovered the situation, the Lounge wasn't listed at all, was completely invisible, but now it shows the protected forum thing indeed.

Great idea!
I've noticed that it says 'Members only' under The Lounge too. I think it would also be a good idea to add 'Members only' underneath 'The Chart Vault' in the UK Chart Forum too, seeing as only members can access that sub-forum!
