Jess Glynne was actually good for most of her first album. Her more recent releases aren't as interesting ('These Days' in particular is a little spawn of Satan) but let's not insult her by comparing her to Anne-Marie xx

Did I miss a memo somewhere or something? I've always quite liked Jess Glynne. Never actually committed to an album of hers as of yet but her singles have always been pretty solid to my view. She'll have a good greatest hits to her name when the time eventually comes for it.

I find it offensive to compare Anne-Marie to Jess tbh! Anne-Marie's music is full of personality, no two songs sound the same and she's one of the most exciting and interesting pop females out there right now. Buzzjack usually loves that sorta thing so the mass hate is very shocking! She's also incredible live too, top notch crowd interaction and is a superb performer. She's actually my second favourite female artist around right now, behind only Rita Ora!
Jess on the other hand has some cute bops but personality wise she gives me NOTHING. I don't find her musically interesting either when so many of her songs sound the same. also not even close in terms of chart success Anne Marie has a total of 5 top 10s including one Number one as featured on Clean Bandit's Rockabye. She's had two solo top 10s (2002, Ciao Adios), one as a duet with James Arthur (Rewrite the Stars) plus Friends as featured on the Marshmello song. So 5 top 10s overall but just 2 solo. Jess Glynne has a total of 12 top 10s including 7 Number ones, 3 as lead, 4 as featured. It's a minor detail but FRIENDS was an actual joint credit - it's from Anne-Marie's album and was the 4th official single from it, so I don't think you can discredit that from her "solo" top 10s, especially if Rewrite the Stars is included. |

I prefer Anne-Marie slightly, "Alarm" and "Ciao Adiós" were solid pop songs as well as her earlier material too. It's a shame that garbage such as "2002", "Perfect To Me" and "FRIENDS" have really let her down. I hope she turns it around for the next album.
Jess however has been releasing retreads of Hold My Hand / Rather Be for her entire career mostly bar the shitty ballads she puts out! No star quality whatsoever and she comes across as a massive bellend in interviews too. Her recent snub of Isle Of Wight festival because she was hungover and cancelling 30 minutes before is ridiculous. |

Ok to finally decide who is really better answer these questions:
Jess Glynne vs Anne-Marie Clean Bandit No. 1: - "Rather Be" or "Rockabye" Rudimental feature: - "These Days" or "Let Me Live" * First Solo Hit: - "Right Here" or "Alarm" Ed Sheeran penned song: - "Thursday" or "2002" Debut album ballad: - "Take Me Home" or "Then" Dance feature smash: - "My Love" (Route 94) or "Friends" (Marshmello) Hip-Hop/R&B feature: - "Not Letting Go" (Tinie Tempah) or "Either Way" (Snakehips) Greatest Showman OST: - "Come Alive" (with Years & Years) or "Rewrite the Stars" (with James Arthur) David Guetta feature: - "She Knows How to Love Me" or "Don't Leave Me Alone" 2019 collaboration: - "One Touch" (with Jax Jones) or "F*ck I'm Lonely" (with Lauv) Last Big Hit Not Already Listed: - "I'll Be There" or "Ciao Adios" Debut Album: - "I Cry When I Laugh" or "Speak Your Mind" For me it's a 7-5 Jess Glynne victory. * I chose Let Me Live over Rumour Mill because in the end it was a slightly bigger hit. |

And this is without including Real Love and Hold My Hand for Jess as well! |

I prefer the manga too. Maybe its quite obvious, because the anime and the drama are some arrangement from the manga. Ive seen the anime and Im reading the manga. But unluckily I still dont see the drama. Maybe a day I will be finally able to seeing it. Anne-Marie confirmed to be a shitty anime adaptation. How did we not see the signs? |
