Sergej's Year End Lists of 2020

Previous chart threads:
Sergej's Year-End lists of 2017 Sergej's Year End lists of 2018 Sergej's Year-End lists of 2019

2020... 20-goddamn-20, where should I even start with the year. In my personal and private life I had ups and downs. But in the worldwide spectrum of the year, it was one, if not the worst year in history. Between the pandemic, police brutality, the pandemic, many deaths, the pandemic, the restrictions and have I mentioned the pandemic yet?

At least 2020 provided us with great music and I have to say, it was one of the best years in music for me and for the discoveries that I've found.

So who could be the best song of 2020 according to my chart year of 2020?
Last year, the record-breaking "Mambo Salentino" went to #1, but this year Boomdabash & Alessandra Amoroso are back with "Karaoke", can they make it 2 years in a row and snatch the #1 song of the year with "Karaoke"?
Other possible contenders include: Last year's Christmas #1 "I Wish I Never Met You" by Oh Wonder, the song that ruled the charts worldwide "Blinding Lights" by The Weeknd and this year's Eurovision song from bella Italia "Fai Rumore" by Diodato. And interesting fact: If "Fai Rumore" gets the #1 song of the year, it will be the first song in chart history to get the #1 song of the year without even hitting #1 in my chart!

Before we count down this year's big songs, here are last year's top 10 songs:
1. Boomdabash - Mambo Salentino (feat. Alessandra Amoroso)
2. Dominic Fike - 3 Nights
3. Mabel - Don't Call Me Up
4. Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello - Señorita
5. Calvin Harris & Rag'n'Bone Man - Giant
6. Takagi & Ketra - JAMBO (feat. OMI & Giusy Ferreri)
7. Ava Max - Sweet But Psycho
8. George Ezra - Pretty Shining People
9. Kygo & Whitney Houston - Higher Love
10. Sigala & Becky Hill - Wish You Well

Now, normally I would start the worst songs of the year, since there were some songs that I really hated.
But to be honest with you all, this is the part I really hate doing, because quite frankly, I love music and I feel that I listen to it for the love of music and appreciate what most artists do and try.
And really, talking about bad music is not fun at all. It's kind of sad and depressing, especially in this disaster year.
So, I'm going to make a big change starting this year: I'm officially scrapping the "Worst Songs of the Year" list, I know many of you would know which songs I really hate, but I don't want to count the bad songs and talk about them.
If you want to know, which songs I hate, in the Buzzjack forum about the HATECHART 2020 VOTING and see which songs I really dislike. Except I want to make one small change: "Hard To Forget" by Sam Hunt is the worst song of the year and would've made the HATECHART, but I forgot to nominate it. Sorry about that.

But enough with the negatives, let's have some positivity in this.
I'll start tomorrow with the Albums of the year (Contender and the list itself).

Not heard any of those albums unfortunately! Giving Viceversa a listen now (although Youtube tells me I've heard it before, probably on your chart!) it sounds quite nice, listening to it all the way through definitely makes me appreciate it more.
