Yeah that's the one about Yemen I was mentioning. Thing is no-one's going to hear that catchline as we've all muted it by the end of the first line.

yes it's back again. It's impossible to read comments on threads on my old apple laptop using chrome.
This isn't going to encourage new people, existing users or sell the products - whatever they are selling, I just mute it and go elsewhere after a couple of frustrating minutes. |

I have also had this, the unstoppable machine one. For now, if there is an 'x' at the top of the offending ad, close it and report it. Ads should not interfere with your browsing experience and if enough people do that it should hopefully go away.

hi all, this is very strange, can you let me know where you are seeing the ad? Which part of the site? I say this as for a long time (years now) the settings on all ads are test/image (no video) so firstly surprised at this.
Let me know the ad details so I can block it firstly. Thanks

What I've seen - correct me if anyone's seen it in any other ad spaces - is that all of the ones that are playing video are located in the ad space on the top right of the first post on a thread page. It plays sound (even when you set it to pause or mute), and drags you to the top of the page so you can see the ad (it's especially annoying if you're using Quick Reply in the same thread).

Same for me, its always on the top right hand corner of the opening post, once it starts playing, it just drags me up to the top of the page, very annoying as hell. Its in the chart forum, not sure if the same thing happens on the other forums of the site. |

There's one promoting GoCompare, one getting people to appeal against dropping bombs on Yemen (being referred to as the 'unstoppable machine' one in this thread) and one promoting Ashford Designer Outlet.
(although they seem to have stopped now for me thankfully) |
