QUOTE
Jurassic World Evolution is a business simulation game that allows the player to construct a Jurassic World dinosaur theme park with attractions and research facilities. Essential buildings and facilities featured in the game include the Expedition center, which sends paleontologists to fossil dig sites so as to obtain dinosaurs DNA content.[1]DNA sequencing unlocks new dinosaurs and updates their statistics, such as lifespan and resilience. With sufficient DNA content, players can use the Hammond Research Center to breed and incubate the dinosaurs. Players can also improve the gene of the dinosaurs and evolve them by integrating the DNA of modern species into these dinosaurs gene to fill their gaps. These modifications to dinosaurs' DNA will change the dinosaurs base statistics, from their level of aggressiveness to their appearance.[2] The game features a terrain tool which allows players to modify the environment, such as planting trees and creating water sources.[3]

Dinosaurs are the game's main attractions. The game features approximately 40 dinosaur species at launch.[4] Players need to build enclosures to contain dinosaurs for visitors' viewing. The needs of different dinosaurs, such as the type of food they eat and the extent of the social interactions they require, must be met to keep them healthy and satisfied.[5] Dinosaurs, controlled by artificial intelligence, will interact with each other and with the environment. For instance, carnivores will attack other carnivores of a different species, and carnivores will hunt down herbivores.[3] Players also need to construct various entertainment rides, as well as amenities such as restaurants and shops to please the guests. An example of tourist attraction is the Gyrosphere and the monorail from Jurassic World.[6] Players can also use the game's photo mode to take pictures of dinosaurs, which also help the park to earn money and publicity.[7] As the construction and expansion of the park, and the incubation of dinosaurs require a large sum of money, entertainment branch is the main source of the park's income. Each entertainment facilities and amenities come with their own management system, with players being able to set and adjust entry fees as well as the amount of staff present in each facility.[3]

There are various emergency situations that may happen in the park, including power failures, unpredictable weather, and dinosaur breakouts, which must be addressed by players in order to ensure guests' safety and happiness.[2] Players can build an ACU Center and a Ranger Station, which are responsible for maintaining the park's security, sedating escaped dinosaurs, medicating sick dinosaurs, transporting dinosaurs, fixing fences, and more.[3] Players can also control vehicles such as helicopters and 4x4 trucks to complete certain tasks. Players can also play as the enclosure maintenance staff from a first-person perspective.[1][7] Emergency shelters to protect the guests, as well as other security structures like power network redundancies and storm warning centers, can be built.[7] Many of these security facilities can be upgraded to strengthen their efficiency when dealing with emergencies.

Coming out on the 12th June smile.gif I cannot wait for this to come out, it's essentially a new & improved Jurassic World: Operation Genesis (aka one of my favourite games of all time) and is getting me so hyped for the new movie too. Each week or so Frontier (i think) has released "Species Profile" short vids for almost every dinosaur in the game. Some of them are really cool & interesting but others are fairly boring tbh.

Pre-ordering it gives you some bonus skins for Helicopter & Jeep's, the Deluxe edition however gives you 5 extra dinosaurs wub.gif I've already pre-ordered the deluxe version for a hefty $80 cheer.gif

Right now the game looks very PlanetCoaster meets Zoo Tycoon but we'll see on Tuesday. A free game update is going to be released when Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom comes out which will include some of the film's new dinosaurs (Carnotaurus, Baryonyx and Allosaurus, + more maybe?) I think. Maybe the Indoraptor will be added as a possible Hybrid too but I'm not sure. A big thing I'm expecting to come in the future is lots of DLC for this game, which I will probably buy.

The species list is huge rn plus the extras coming soon. I hope Acrocanthosaurus, Iguanodon, Compsognathus, Troodon, and a few more omissions from the JP franchise will come in future expansions which I will happily throw my money at tbh

Is anyone else interesting in this sort of thing? There wasn't a post on here for it but I figure someone must have their eye on it.. maybe? tongue.gif

Jeff Goldblum also has a significant role in narrating/teaching you too, whilst also making jokes and giving shit to the company for re-creating dinosaurs

I love this. I've been waiting so long for a follow up to Jurassic Park: Operation Gensis. I haven't seen how long I've put into the game yet, but the first couple weeks I was playing it non stop. *_* I love the wide variety of dinosaurs that will likely continue to expand.
