Top 100 for the 29th August 2020

Pete's Chart Commentary
The Knocks keep their #1 single, however it was neck and neck with Declan this week, and he may well get the edge once his album is out next week please can it actually be released this time. Lukas Graham's newest ditty outpeaks the last two on its first week on the chart however is still quite a way behind the leaders. Swedish outfit JUNG also make a dent in the Top 10 with their eco-conscious pop song.

Most of the other new entries in the Top 40 have climbed from the lower realms, including chart smash 'Looking For Me' which could climb in the coming weeks as long as it doesn't rain. Clean Bandit also scrape into the Top 40, meaning that there are TWO songs in both my Top 40 and the official one, help I'm going mainstream Most of the entries lower down are from the recent Unknown Pleasures contest, however Robin Schulz and James Bay scrape in as a result of being in my head the last few weeks.

Bodies is a great song, definitely grew on my after a few listens as well. Would be great to see Marsicans get some success as well, I saw them when they performed at Elland Road but These Days is by far the best I've heard from them - thanks Whoddy!


Declan's falling a bit now but his album could push him right back up there (unless the album tracks chart higher of course ) I've not actually heard any Travis songs between 'Idlewild' and this so need to give some a listen - thanks Mango!

Hi Pete! Love to see Polar Bears in the top 10. Great message and a nice music video as well! Loose Change needs to be higher Better late than never for Alane which is a great remake! Hopefully Chew On My Heart will gain height soon!

those two are great choices for being the two chart hits in your top 40, I'm really loving Looking For Me, and Tick Tock is decent enough for Clean Bandit.
Alane is rather good too, that made my own top 40 but it's out of my chart now.

Looking forward to seeing what charts from Declan's album when it's finally released on Friday

I'm liking your bottom two new entries - that Paul Woolford song is hands down one of my favourite dance songs of the year! Hope it can manage to go Top 10 at some point. And I didn't initially think much of the Clean Bandit but it's growing on me the more I listen to it.
